What gun do you like most/want most part: Deux

Being serious I really want to see how short rifles work.

The Draganov works like a semi auto gun and the Barrett is a bolt action. There are videos of them in action you can watch on youtube.

You could see the Barrett in action in the Minds on the Brink video.

The Choir of Guns video showcases the Drognav a lot.

And if the Barrett shoots fast enough I'll use that. If not, I'll use the Draganov.

Last I heard the Barrett is far more damaging but longer reload,

Sorry what I meant was I want to see how they work in the game dynamic, If they will be effective and if they do enough damage to be appealing to people or not.

Both are light rifles, which allows any bodytype to have access to them. The Dragunov is a semi-automatic, which allows it to fire much faster than the Barrett in exchange for decreased power. The Barrett, being a bolt-action, does extremely high damage and has great range, but all of this is offset by its extremely slow reloading and rechambering speeds.

Either way, both have benefits and disadvantages. They appeal to different players. Barretts are useful for support players because a Barrett can critically injure an enemy (no OHKs), and their teammates can then finish the shot player off. On the other hand, a frontline player who wants good accuracy and power and is willing to sacrifice magazine capacity probably would want a Drognav.

Dedicated semi-auto Ar. I know that the Rokstedi is at this point, but it doesn't make too much sense. But I'm not saying that making the Garund AR semi would make any sense either (even though it's supposedly based on the M14-MCS Chassis Mod, because non military M-14's still have fully automatic functions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYeNlJ8yHgA&feature=related

Eh.. forgive my rambling. I'll probably just stick with the Rokstedi and the short rifle with the faster fire rate.

EDIT: There is no Barrett. SR-93.

Yes but having to do the bolt action after every shot can be a problem. If I can get 3 shots at 40 dmg a piece vs 2 at 50 a piece in the same amount of time I'd rather have the 3 shots, ya know?

Actually any full auto firearm made before 1986 is legal for citizens, military M14s are select fire unless they are using match grade M21s.

I was just going to mention this. I own a Dragunov SVD variant SKS. Its post 1998.

Edit: Which I believe was the year it was adopted as the modern variant by... Poland?
