Dwemer, Deep Elves, Dwarves... it's all the same thing. Get over it.

In the context of Tamriel.

Word of God is law.

now my day is just ruined.

It was a bad idea from the beginning. Doomed to Hell, I'd say.

What is Word of God?

It means a dev, the ultimate authority, came in and told us what is what. So far, no other dev has came in a said different.

Honestly, I don't want to see the Dwemer return, or solve the mystery of their disappearance. What I do want is some Dwemer ruins, even if it's just one big one. I miss the steampunkness of them. Here's hoping Falmer ruins are more interesting than Aylied ones.

The Nordic word for Dwemer is litterally "little cousins"

And this is perfectly reasonable to expect in Skyrim based on the lore.
