my guess is Austrailian is the same (name the last war they where in) I mean WHO would bomb austrailia?

Good point, and thanks for that!

Fact is that back in the late 19th century, an Aussie corporal named Earnest O'Malley accidently discovered whilst washing his musket, that the barrel made a perfect addition to a "bucket bong".

He showed it to his commanding officer, who immediately ordered a round of Fosters for the entire Australian armed forces.

And they all agreed it was too good to pass up a pi55up, so dismantled the lot.

Problem solved!

No more messy war stuff, greenery in every back garden from the money saved, a riding kangaroo in EVERY garage?. And we let the folks from the media take care of any faked pictures needed to satisfy the others on planet Earth that our care factor was in fact significantly higher than zero.

The shark, poisonous reptile, spider and crocodile breeding programs took care of most of the nosy tourists.

from what I know about modern Australia they have a very good working relationship with Communist China, despite the rare dispute here and there, and Russia.

Well now Zaxa13, our prime minister, the mighty Kevin07, speaks fluent Communist Chinese.

Shortly after being elected, he visited their president and asked him;

"Those Americans, where are they getting all that money to hand out?"

"Why we lend a large lump of it to them directly."

He replied.

Now Kev being a bloke with an eye on the main chance, immediately responded by giving him a paddock full of "riders", some vegetation from the parliamentary garden and a case of Fosters.

He then grabbed him by both hands and said with a wink;

"When the stinky stuff hits the rapidly rotating blades, we're with you blokes!"

So now you know, 'cause you got it from the kangaroo's mouth.

If you are really Australian you would never mention the words 'Fosters' and 'Drink' in the same sentence unless there was a '_______? I'm not _____ing that [censored by me]' inserted.

ON TOPIC well Ausir said it was destroyed :sad: so it's destroyed

If you are really a patriotic Australian, you wouldn't let outsiders know we don't drink the stuff at home, but send it offshore.

Well, speaking of the IRA, I suppose nuclear holocaust freed the Emerald Isle. Maybe the only people in control on the island IS the IRA.

And another note on the UK, if we are keeping with the whole 1950s vibe, the UK was under a strong socialist democracy started by Attlee and the Labor Party. Quite frankly, perhaps the strong sense of social values and a powerful mass labor movement kept Britain from completely going to the pitts. On a speculative note, perhaps a real Marxist democracy now exists in Britain, seeing how capitalism and Communism have essentially been destroyed.

Though, if Britain had become a left leaning, or perhaps even a proto-communist nation, then I would have to assume that Northern Ireland, would have been given away without a shot fired. Or due to the weak and feeble tendencies that would have grown in a left leaning nation, it would have been quite easy for the IRA to beat back, what would have been a demoralized and utterly ineffective "People's British Army".

Why would a left leaning country be weak? Sparta is considered a proto-Communist society and look at them. And the Red Army of Russia as well, they were able to slaughter the White forces on all fronts during the Civil War, and in WWII they probably could have beaten Germany alone. The leaning of your politics has nothing to do with the strength of the people. Wasn't it Che Guevara who said, "A people armed is a people unconquered." And isn't he left leaning?

A continuing socialist UK in post-apocolyptia probably would have given up Ireland, but I don;t see them being weaker because of it.

Well, an alternative to a SOcialist UK is a return to an aristocratic one, which would still make sense for Tenpenny's inability to seek a fortune. English Tories despise capitalism and always have (in the Conservative Party for example, many called Thatcher "the grocer's daughter). Many of the Labor Party's hardcoe Marxists are mostly descended from Aristocracy, and the Tories that aren;t Marxist have just redefined the UK's Welfare State or State Socialist government as mere paternalism, "Of course we give the people free health care, we must protect his Majesty's subjects." So even if the aristocracy took over, they have an ingrained sense of paternalism and a weak spot for worker struggles, and even today, still hate capitalism and liberalism. SO either socialist or aristocratic, Tenpenny would be outta luck.

Another point that is often made, if Britain is still is still more of the "British Empire", and less of the progressive European Nation that we think of today, perhaps they might have used much more force during the "Troubles". Also, we should consider, that maybe in the Fallout Universe, that perhaps when the IRA split, the fracture was so dramatic that instead of reforming as the OIRA, and the PIRA that instead the organization either fell apart, or subsequently split even further, leading to its eventual collapse.
