What happened between Oblivion and Skyrim?

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 2:17 am

I came to the realization Oblivion was released six years ago, an early game to the very new PS3-few months after. In that time they released a relatively large expansion, that made its way to all three platforms. (Shivering Isles) Granted, it was glitchy..(but what Bethesda game isn't) What happened? How have the forgotten how to code, and release dlc in 6 years?
Are any of the same people still working on Skyrim? Or are they all noobs?

Dawnguard was Skyrim's version of Morrowind's Bloodmoon except instead of being for flushing out the Werewolves' story and history it was for Vampires..granted Werewolves still got something very good out of it.

Hearthfire is Skyrim's version of Oblivion's horse armor, Bethesda did say they would release a lot of small DLCs ya' know.

lol hiding the purpose of the thread by having a slightly misleading title.

It'll still get shut down, although last thread that was about PS3 took a few days to get shut down.

This one however I will agree should be on the other thread. But anywho, who knows? The game is made for 360 first and then transferred to other platforms. That is the main issue, it's not coded specifically for PS3.

It'd probably be like taking a game designed for windows and trying to run it on a mac without the correct programs.

The part that pains me about that is I own both Blood Moon and Tribunal because It's on PC. However how ever BAD Dawnguard is, I won't know first hand unless I buy that too for PC. (which my [censored] laptop can't handle.) But I get what you're saying.

Also, I laughed hard about the horse armor.

You're missing my whole point; Why did it work for Oblivion, and not Skyrim?

Also, that's fine if it gets "shut down" I didn't post in a "release" thread, because I'm not asking or complaining about the Date. I'm questioning the technical aspects.

I am shutting this thread down as it has nothing to do with Dawngaurd.
