I'm fairly new to the forums and wasn't here on 19 October 2010. The day the Skyrim trailer was released I thought there would be a new online users record, Tes being arguably the most followed series in the Bethesda portfolio but it is still this one: Online At Once Record 2,935 19 October 2010 - 11:10 AM Was there an announcement or a launch of another Bethesda game that day? I hope we can bring that record down soon for something related to Skyrim, maybe at the next trailer.
Keep in mind that Fallout brought in a lot of people that weren't familiar with the Elder Scrolls while intriguing a lot of TES fans because it was a Behesda sandbox title. It makes sense in a way.
Ah, thanks for the info, I was just curious what it was :goodjob: That totally explains, I'm sure the hype is following a geometrical progression from one game to the other, I can't wait for November! :tes:

TES is the biggest Bethesda title in the eyes of Bethesda fans, but I think the Fallout titles are overall more popular because, besides the Bethesda fanbase, they attract here the old Fallout fans (that are not really Bethesda fans) as well.
I've been on these forums for a very long time, and that "most online at once" record thing changes every few years. I could have sworn there were multiple thousands (like 10k+) more at once at one point or another, maybe during Oblivions release. Because these forums were absolutely insane when Oblivion was announced. Ten times the amount of activity easily than when Skyrim was announced. New threads were being created literally every second. Threads going past 200+ post in an hour. It was truly ridiculous. I think that's actually when they enforced strict posting limits per minute.
