Post » Sun Nov 16, 2008 8:57 am

My guess is, you'll have to wait till the game comes out.
Unless they reveal something before the game gets released.

I read in one article, some of the unanswered questions from Crysis, will get answered in Crysis 2, what that meant, I dont know exactly, and it isnt much help.
But it seems that it is all we have currenlty. I wish I knew more, but too much would kinda spoil it for me. :-)

I'm guessing the aliens adapted their technology to be more combat effective on Earth. Remember how they were steadying various items in Crysis 1?

+1.

You wont be finding out until the release date anyway. For Crytek to tell us now would spoil the story, and i wouldnt like that. :)

Think about it, the original ship had a fleet onboard to take over planets, it lands millions of years ago (possibly causing an ice age?) and lies unawakened for millenea until something wakes them up. Signal is then sent into space and the alien race, which has evolved somewhat in a few million years, arrives and BOOM! they now look different. They appear less advanced for some reason looking at that giant walker in Central station... $0.02

I think they got several types of these robots, depending on the environment and in this setting it is the Urban environment robots.

I hope we will encounter these real aliens that were in the huge alien ship in the first Crysis. They made so many cool sounds :D

There is no explanation, Crysis 2 simply retcons Crysis 1.

The aliens did not freeze NY because it would be too cold to cook New York pizza and as we all know, aliens love pizza

I would assume it will, as it's a Trilogy :D

I think Richard Morgan's tie-in comic will be interesting!

The Aliens, Which I will call The Ceph, as shown in Gameplay Trailers for C2, Were Studying The Humans in C1, As you can see in the level "Core" Where you can see by the Floating LAWS, Hurricanes, Chairs, Etc. And you also need to take in Acount that C2 takes place 3 YEARS after C1, So the Ceph could have developed a Suit of Armor, Similar to the Scouts from C1, But this time based off Human Anatomy, Which could have been Where Prophet was in between the levels "Relic" and "Paradise Lost", Being studied by the Ceph, and also, Like Incindre Sid, They Landed Millions of Years ago, So They Choud have Evolved.

Makes sense, Prophet always felt weird, and why didn't the alien kill him? I wondered why there's household stuff & weapons floating in the huge chamber in core too.

Guys, dont you remember, the aliens landed on earth millions of years ago, so reeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaally old aliens, and since they sent the message, the aliens waay far away responded, and since they werent in slumber they were advancing in technology, and then they came and attacked the earth. There were probably less old aliens than the new ones from the invasion, so you probably wont see as many of them. My guess is that some (or a couple) will be there somewhere, and hopefully the hunter, cause that would probably pwn pinger ass :D . I actually really hope we could control an alien scout or something....

I Tottaly agree with hackinz but I don't think Crytek will put much effort explaining that, They just realized that we prefer killin Koreans than Aliens, so they upgraded their aliens and will create some simple explanation to that
