The ecosystem is pretty interesting, wolves will eat deer so on so forth but what happens if two dragons run into each other do they fight or do they just ignore each other?

Well it starts when a mommy dragon and a daddy dragon love each other very much
So obviously we will see baby dragons.

Or they ignore each other completly which will probably lead to some dragons being stuck flying into eachother and some you tube videos

That will actually be interesting to see - if you could some how get two dragons to be close enough to interact with each other if there would be some sort of unique interaction or they would just straight up ignore one another, lol.

I think they're allies because they belong to Alduin.

I think they could fight each other sometimes. You see real male animals fighting each other for the females (lions or something for example). Maybe it could save your life, Jurassic Park 3 style, when the T-rex and the Spinosaurus met.

Todd already said we won't be seeing baby dragons, during the newest interview. He even referred to the Dragonlings from Daggerfall, and said they won't be around, because they want us to fight big, menacing dragons, not babies.

Also, yes, they are allies with each other under Alduin. Todd even recounted when 3 of them attacked him at once, and how ridiculously hard it was. And no, they are not "animals". They are intelligent, they think, they speak, they use magic, and they aren't all going to fight you mindlessly. They may seem like beasts to the player, but they certainly have a lot of mind to back up the brute force.

They'd team up on you I guess. Todd says that the game does have the ability to throw two dragons against you at once. He also tried three, which didn't end well for anyone. No idea if we'll see that many at once.

Humans fight over things like women... and kill for land (territory(sp??))... and we're supposed to be intelligent

so whos to say the dragons won't...

I'd guess they'd all be a part of the "Dragon faction" in the Creation Kit so wouldn't attack each other. They may create a different faction for the story that makes them attack each other though. We don't know why they came back so if they have conflict about something in the story, they'd be scripted to attack each other. Since we're going to be able to summon a dragon to fight for us, we'll get to see them fighting each other. wow.

Why would they fight?
Is it mating season and they're competing for female dragons? for hunting territory?

That'd be mighty complex to simulate, i'd assume.
