What happens when you die...

Well the title says it all. What happens? Does your soul go to another plane of existance, to oblivion perhaps? Or does nothing happen at all?

Most souls go to the Dreamsleeve, which is basically the recycling bin of the world. Your soul is stripped of all memories and identity and shoved into a new body.

Some souls (depending on faith) may go into Oblivion, similar to how followers of Mankar found themselves in his Paradise, although I'm not quite sure about this part. I haven't gone over this subject too much.

I know this topic has been mentioned a lot. I know the bigger TES lore keepers that roam these parts would know the more specifics and could point you to the sources of information. But what Orzorn did post is correct.

With daedra, on the other hand, they keep their identity and memories when they enter the waters of oblivion

Unless some daedra owns your ass or your the victim of necromany you go to the dreamsleave or the gigantic recycling plant in the sky. How you experience the dreamsleave would be determined by what you worshipped in life. (Though if you worshipped a daedra, chances are you vacated the system to go that daedra's realm)

You can ask proweler or search for his posts. I'd link you to the information, but [censored] I'm a bit tired.

You grab a number and wait in line. Finaly you get up in front, the pearly gates of Heaven open up to you, but when God sees you he promptly seals them. Meanwhile a trap door opens beneath your feet and a long, circular slide sends you to Hell, where the Devil look http://static.gamesas.com/blog/Adoring-Fan.jpg.

No [censored] Sherlock.

But to be more exact you most probably go to the Dreamsleeve and then you'll be recycled.

Depends. If you served and worshiped certain gods, stuff happens. Also, some afterlives have other qualifications. For example, certain daedra set aside planes for followers, Shor requires you are a Nord who died vailiantly in battle (Nord is occasionally debatable, but valiance is neccessary 100% of the time), Dunmer ancestors get their own plane to be summoned from, some people stick around like the Forlorn Watchman, etc. There's as many beliefs there as in the real world.

So, just so I can get this straight, on the basic level, you go to Dreamsleeves, and get reincarnated into the world again, or depending on how you worshipped in your life, you go to wherever you deserve? ( Like, if I worshiped Boethiah, I might go to a plane reserved for his followers?)

What I've always wondered is where would Aedra go when/if they die? And I don't mean my old Lunar homeboy. He ain't dead.
