You become a magical unicorn, determined to walk the wastes and bring butterflies and sunshine to the lives of all the people and ghouls.

You can find diary of raider Trash in F:NV, who tried to became a ghoul by being radiated. She lost her hair, her skin started to fall away, and then she died.

I think the last time I tried I died, then again I did try to enter Vault 87's front door.
I did it, saw it was locked, fast travelled away and died on the spot and would constantly do so upon reloading!

I think the trick to becoming a ghoul is you need to be where it is more atmospheric as opposed to constantly active. Hence was Trash's mistake. I think you need to get a very high rad count (8-900 would probably work) and then just let the rads in your system work, while living in a rad free area. Look at Dean Domino, 200 years of radioactive food and background radiation turned him into a ghoul. I think Ghoulification is ultimately a mix of chance and more importantly radiation causing genetic damage.

Yep, you're probably right. Since the girl died, I would assume your way is much more affective. She just got radiation poisoning and died on the spot. Although, there is that one NCR Ranger outpost with the pile of radioactive barrels in the middle, and they're all ghouls, not dead.

They have that barrel to gain health, that spot is spacificaly made for ghouls :) its like the all black group of the ncr army except, well they r ghouls :)

Well I guess that's all lol
