Daawww, that wasn't supposed to be mean at all. I'm just happy that people are still able to see that the ways of F3 are neither original nor best in their shooter-RPG mixture. ^_^

Fallout 3 is my (second) favorite game not because of any of that, but because of how rewarding the exploration is. Deus Ex is my favorite game because, despite not being open world, it rewards exploring even more. Just because it's not my absolute favorite anymore doesn't mean I've "seen the light" or anything. :shrug:

Nehrim: At Fate's Edge.

I was expecting a poor quality mod with a small amount of content, not the greatest RPG experience ever.

In a good way, hearing Fish Rising by Steve Hillage for the first time.

In a bad way, hearing the hype, and audience figures, for the X Factor, then actually watching it.

Seeing half of Lancashire bounded by hills on a clear day from the top of cletheroe Castle was pretty mindblowing, for me.

I [censored] love that town.

Waiting for Godot, the first time I saw it. I still don't completely get it. A few other "things" have "blown my mind" as well, but I'll leave that for another discussion. :shifty:

Seeing the ocean for the first time was kind of amazing... until I realized it was exactly like being on the great lakes...but saltier (probably cleaner though).

Pfft... http://www.killarneylake.com/images/Killarney-walks-09.jpg from one of my favourite writing spots... Well, ten metres above. *cue homesickness*
"You can go anywhere you see" is never so hollow a catchphrase as when I imagine this and compare it to games which claim that. ^_^

That is beautiful. I hope to see at least one vista like that in Skyrim.

I took a linguistics class this spring.

Asterisk = *

Aster = star
Rix = king

I literally couldn't pay attention to anything else the rest of the class after I heard that.

Last summer driving across AZ and NM. I had been through NM many times as a kid, but it was my first time driving throughm and with my daughter.
The scenery out that way is mindblowingly beautirful, desolate and unspoiled.

I finally got around to watching The Book of Eli.
That kinda blew my (admittedly small) mind.

Heavy Rain as a whole
  • Red Dead Redemption's ending
  • The first time I stepped outside of the sewers in Oblivion
  • The endings of both seasons 1 and 4 of Dexter.
  • Spoiler
    When you find out you are Revan
    in KOTOR
  • Mass Effect's storyline
  • Watching Skyrim unveiled live
  • When the Flyers came back from a 0-3 deficit of the Stanly Cup playoffs last season

I'm sure I will think of more.

Beautiful. You cannot beat the English countryside in summertime. In my humble opinion. I've done quite a few treks through the Yorkshire Dales. Alas I can't do that any more, at least for now.

Why not? Did Scargill issue a fatwa against you?

The last episode of Lost.

I saw it coming since season 2.

Totally obvious.

I'm a total Fallout nerd, so Liberty Prime (F3)

Also, when I looked out over the Pitt's skyline from the highest point.

IRL, probably Arizona in Fall.

Saw what coming exactly?

It was a joke.

If you ever seen a few of the episodes, you'd get that there is at least one random twist with trippy things happening every other time.
