What has happened to Mjoll the Lioness?

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 8:27 am

Here's the story.

Quite a while ago I broght Mjoll to Sky Haven Temple where she became a Blade. Now, just recently I asked her to get married and we went to Riften and performed the ceremony. Right after that she left the temple and I haven't seen her since. I checked out Honey Side, and her house that she shares with Aerin. I've checked out the market place, and the Bee and Barb. I even went back to Sky Haven Temple thinking that might be where her home was. After several days she has not shown up anywhere that I can find. (Usually second thought occure prior to a marriage, or if not then, it will take a while for someone to realize that they made a big mistake! I haven't noticed a loss of gold or a pile clothes outside a house.)

Any thoughts on where she may have decided to hide? Is there a console code that I can use to attempt to locate her?

This has been a known problem, if you are quick you can talk to them before they leave and tell them to move into your home, they will then head to your house.

She probably left your ass for forcing her to become a member of the blades, and knowing that you viciously murdered a peaceful dragon named paarthurnax. She was probably friends with the greybeards.

IMHO, I must agree. OK, I was an ass and blew away a repentant dragon, but I am looking for a way to make an amends; Mjoll should have rebuffed me in the first place. While Alphaea's suggestion seems to place Mjoll back in Honey Side, I would like to find her and beg for forgivness

Actually, that command moves you to her. You should then talk to her about where to live. Then suggest her place. Go to Aerin's house so that the quest updates, then go back to Mjoll and tell her you want to move to... wherever you like. I don't know how being part of the Blades affects this, however. I think it's assumed that people you join to the Blades are people you want out of the way, but not quite in the Boethiah meaning, if applicable.

I married Ysolda a while ago, and the same thing happened to me. I thought I would just catch up with her back in Whiterun, so I went off and did some quests in the Riften area before heading back to Whiterun. Some of the citizens had made the trip to see the ceremony, and they were back in Whiterun when I arrived, but Ysolda wasnt there. I ran all around town looking for her, including breaking into her house, but didnt find her. I used the console to move to her, and she was finally walking up to the stables. She tried to make it up to me by being all lovey dovey, but I doubt her sincerity. :ermm:

You do realize that Sleeping Tree Camp is on that route? I think she made a stopover.

By the way, I hope you like Aerin. He moved into my house in Solitude after I married Mjoll. The litle bugger follows her around everywhere! I had quite a full house - myself, Mjoll, Aerin and my housecarl.

Just add a dog.

Now if Aerin is harshing your buzz, you could always arrange an industrial accident. Take him to see a dragon, if possible. See how well he does with a dagger (I've done this, lol). Or cast fury on him in a public place (but seclude yourself, and leave Mjoll at home). Or slip him a frenzy potion, if you have that knack. Or tell Mjoll you want to move to her place, tell her to stay where she is, then go to Aerin's house and wait like a spider: suspended over a sleepers face in the dark!

Here is an update on the missing Mjoll if anyone is interested.

I reverted back to the Save right after she disappeared and did the player.moveto command and caught up with her as she was heading west out of Riften by Marryfair Farm. Realizing that she was struggling with the idea of giving up a Blade and becoming mate, I decided to just follow her and let her work it out herself. I was also curious as to where she was going. (Do you realize how boring it can be to follow someone around at a walking pace?) Was she heading back to Sky Haven or was just taking a circuitous route around The Rift, like she did before I did Grimsever's Return which allowed her to be eligible. We were going along just fine and even took out some nasty folks at Foldar's Tooth. Still continuing west we went past Heartwood Mill. I thought she was heading to main route west to Sky Haven, but just before she got on the main road, a troll sprang out and caused her to head back toward Heartwood Mill. When she go close to the mill she would stop, turn around and head west again. There was a place where she would make a decision (close to the troll ambush spot) and head back toward Heartwood Mill. She did this loop 3 times. I could stand in the middle of this loop and do an Aural Whisper to track her. But at some point she headed west and I lost her. I finally her again on a ledge looking west. Was she contemplating a final solution to her marriage delemma? For 3 days I waited to see if she would consider a different path. But alas, she just stood there. Finally I gave up and decided to revert an earlier save and marry Camilla Valerius instead.

I imagine that Mjoll just wanted to be a Blade!

I had a similar problem with Aela. For some reason they feel the need to walk from the amazing wedding ceremony by themselves back to their original home.

I luckily had some quests which required me to talk to Aela and so I activated it to see where she was and watched her arrow follow a road back to whiterun.

Never been there. And she's never mentioned her, shall we say, extracurricular activities.
