What have you guys done with your Fallout?

Post » Fri Dec 10, 2010 2:38 pm

Sorry if there was already a post like this or if it's in the wrong thread. I'm just curious as to how all of you are preparing for the upcoming NV. Are any of you still playing FO3, or are you abstaining to make NV that much more fun? Anyone doing a Fallout1-3 marathon? I myself shelved FO3 2 months ago, partly because I was getting burned out and partly to build up the urge to play New Vegas.

How 'bout you guys?

I'm taking a break, playing Left For Dead and Oblivion. I've put a ridiculous amount of time into Fallout 3. I need to do something else for a couple weeks. By the time NV is released, I'll be jonesing for a Fallout marathon. Pizza guy is on speed dial.

I like your style. I too am considering Oblivion and playing till release, and the pizza delivery sounds like an awesome idea. Considering my Saturday (when I'm purchasing the game) turns out right, I'll be doing the exact same thing. :foodndrink:

I still play it occasionally, but I think it's best I lay off, so NV feels fresher.

*sigh* It starts like this; we start making anticipation threads, we buy the game, we go to that forum, and never come back here. Damn Im gonna miss the FO3 forum. So many memories, good times, and bad. *sigh*

[/nostalgic monologue]

Anyway, Vegas, here I come! (in 11 days as of this post) :P

Still playing FO3 in spare time, but when friends are about in the evenings I tend to play FPS games like L4D2 (and the original since the latest update), and BF2142 & Bad Company. Mixing it up like this keeps it fresh. I find it's when I play solid over a few evenings I need to take a break and find something new to entertain me..... I might try real life soon one day! ........... but not until after Vegas :P

Halo: Reach
Fallout 3 with FWE or Zombie Apocalypse and Fellout at night... :)
Transformers: WFC
Star Wars: Battlefront 2

Looking constantly for Fallout: New Vegas updates and news wherever I can possibly look!
School...lots of homework...
More productive things...

Also, I don't think I need any more hours of Fo3, as I have played it for more than 4,500 hours. No joke.

I just finished a third game of Oblivion and will fire up Fallout 3 for a small refresher this weekend. Then I'll get some other things done so I'll have lots of time to play FNV when it's released!

I agree, I feel exactly the same way. But we will come back to it at some point, I'm sure of it. Games as great as this wont ever be left alone forever. :)

I have been splitting time between fallout 3 and Oblivion, however have been getting a little burnt on both so maybe I should reinstall Morrowind and attempt to finish it this time. For some reason i have been having a hard time getting into it though (Morrowind)

Just started with a new character in F3, and come back to the forums after a bit of a break. And good to see some of the old folks here again, too: Verisco and GhoulsR. Cheers guys!!!

Edit:

And today just booked two days off for when NV is released - time owing. Thank you for workplace contracts...sweet.

I do the same I do every day in Fallout. I'm not putting any pressure over NV, since I'm not getting it at least for a year or two.

Noodling around with little quests I never got around to for one reason or another... and trying my hardest to avoid every spoiley thing I can about NV. I'm bummed I made the mistake of looking at some NV screenshots a couple of months ago.

Went to my local store and pre-ordered it a few weeks ago, so now I'm kind of putting some effort into getting some sleep.
Once that disk comes home, I'll be up for a week.

See you all on the NV forums after I've been through everything in the game-- or sooner, but only if I get stuck! :foodndrink:

Disturbing amounts of L4D2, coupled with Fallout 3. I shelved the latter after beating it a few weeks after release. Never felt the need to go back until now. FWE and WMK are making this new playthrough downright awesome. Heck, it pretty much adds alot of NV's features to the game. (hardcoe survival mode, deadlier weapons, customizable weapons, and even more weapons. I could go on, but you get the point.) Having a blast.

While waiting for New Vegas, I've been playing my evil character, levelled him up to 14 for the PSN trophy and then dumped him in Anchorage to get the swag and hoping the Gary 23 glitch works this time.

After about a year I restarted a new character on FO3 and I'm really enjoying playing.

However I've pre-ordered NV and it should arrive here on the day of release (22nd Oct I guess) and very obviously I don't think I'd be manage to play the whole game yet again till then :(
Doing only the main quest loses all the fun.

I did this because I'm afraid that when I play NV I'd be put off playing FO3 ever again... well who knows? lol
