What have you only just discovered about the game?

Post » Sat Apr 02, 2011 2:02 am

I played a couple hundred hours before I could get my hotkeys to work right...

But I've always known where my Pip-Boy light is.

ive only just discovered that when you hack a terminal if you don't guess the code before the trys run out then you can quit and try again, but i always kept guessing untill it was right by reloading every 4 attempts.

haha

What kind of "ha ha" is that? Cruel?

Since holding a weapon to someone's face doesn't seem to affect their disposition towards you, and having the ability to adjust the brightness settings. I was never compelled to learn how to use the xbox controller buttons to do the job.

I never noticed that. That and the green that was growing after helping Harold.

On my third time thru the game I just realized that Zimmer was most likely an android himself and did not know it. (you find an android component on his body)

I mean, if you look carefully around the Wasteland, you can find small patches of healthy, growing vegetation after you complete the quest.
Some of the spots I've come across it:

-Near Raven Rock
-Close to the Dunwich Building
-Republic of Dave area
-Paradise Falls

The problem is, the patches of greenery are usually small and difficult to spot- the eye skips right over them sometimes.
And I'm not certain whether or not they spawn randomly.
But I am certain they weren't there before.

Hmmm never noticed it I'll have to take another look.

@Met: What's with the squid look? I miss the blue hair and twitchy eye.... :poke:

Oh it's just my Halloween icon. c:
The blue hair shall return, never fear.
...Or perhaps this Halloween I should just go as myself. >.>

After about 100+ hours of game play I came across a baby carriage, with a damn bomb in it. I heard the timer, and was clueless until it put a dent in my HP. A big dent. :nuke:

Ummmmmm....450 + hours and I hadn't tried this....as a result of reading this, I spent 15 minutes wandering around outside Meg repositioning bits of raider bodies, until I picked one up in front of Harith, who promptly said "Having fun with that?" in a very disdainful tone and then he and his caravan wandered off in disgust.

At least now the raiders, Enclave and Talon will all spawn around the two deathclaws well away from the front gate...he he he. I can't wait till they find that they are in a double circle of mines for a deathmatch spectacular....I should get Charon and Fawkes to sell tickets....

Thats so evily mean....but i admit its is funny.......i don't think fawkes would agree to slaughtering deathclaws for the fun......raiders yes.

Take a close look at a Telephone next time you pass one.

Apparently, they have a wireless hand-set, with a little radio antenna on it.

I quite literally just discovered the locked cellar door in a wrecked Springvale house yesterday, right after I picked up GOTY.

Anyone know where the key is? How in the hell did I miss this...? I've thoroughly combed that area for treasures more times than I an count.

Excellent, thanks. I thought it must have been DLC related if I'd never noticed it before.

It was a while before I leanred you could hold the button down and continue drinking as opposed to going up and down all the time.

LOL, I found out I learn something new every time I visit these forums. Today I learned 2 things from this forum which will help me in my game.

I'm playing my 2nd run though of the game and I found out I probably missed out on 50% of the game. :o

After putting the pieces together while browsing the wiki, I discovered that, despite your fathers wishes AND your results of the G.O.A.T., the LW still ends up with a job in the maintenance dept. (seeing as he has a utility jumpsuit in his dresser).

Guess the Overseer really DOES hate your char. :P

Then why was my character the tattoo artist?

I have played for 200+ hours.

I just accidentally learned... that you can fast travel.

The worst part: I spent about the same amount of time playing Oblivion....

Needless to say, about 300 of the total 400 hours was spent walking...
