What have you only just discovered about the game?

I just found out that if you hold the "attack" button while holding a melee or unarmed weapon, the player will yell/grunt a "hiyyaa" when attacking.

If you are refering to the mini nukes then no. They are roughly at my best guess about 1/4 to 1/2 megaton charge. to do full square city blocks it would have to be about 10 to 20 kilotons IMO only..........CAPITAL :nuke: WASTELAND
as for the topic well I am still finding out things about FO3 even after my 5th character..........:fallout:

Actually, 20 kilotons is less then half a megaton, 1000 kilotons in every megaton. Such as the Hiroshima bomb at 13 kilotons, so a mininuke mat be less then 0.0001 kilotons,

As for this you can see the discrepancy in "Megaton" when you set off the bomb, in reality a megaton sized explosion ( 76 times larger then the Hiroshima explosion which leveled an entire city ) would have made D/C a glass crater.

Now only if they had the tsar bomba. Russian nuke, largest ever detonated, at 50 megatons, or 3846 times larger then the Hiroshima bomb.

That explosion would have wiped the island of japan from existence.

And that was scaled back from the planned 100 megatons to minimize fallout.

I learnt that if you move the directional stick while holding the attack button while using a melee weapon, your character will do a horizontal power strike.

That Oasis has a secret underwater exit if you go foward past Harold's heart, or his remains in my case. I was so messed up the first time that I didn't bother to check around after I killed Harold.

I'm playing my 2nd run though of the game and I found out I probably missed out on 50% of the game. :o

You only missed 50% on your 1st run through? I feel like I missed about 80% of it the first 2-3 plays...

...

I keep finding new locations that I've never been to. Like the fact that the Brass Lantern in Megaton is *not* just Ms Stahl standing outside at a 3-stool eating stand. I never realized that there was an interior area there where the other two Stahls tend bar.

The Ghoul Outpost was a new discovery last week (south of Greyditch).

I have played for 200+ hours.

I just accidentally learned... that you can fast travel.

The worst part: I spent about the same amount of time playing Oblivion....

Needless to say, about 300 of the total 400 hours was spent walking...

holy sh** you accually walked accross the entire map in oblivion that must have taken a long time to play, you know that when you find 2 or 3 places in fallout 3 it tells you that you can fast travel

a lot of you probably already know this, but for those that dont......
check your local maps when youre running outround out in the wastes.. you'd be amazed how amny lil hole in the wall places there are, even in the middle of no where with no buildings around.

ive found more than a few places like this that i most likely would have just passed by..
like the ant hills

of course that would hinge entirely on whether the bomb was in comple working order :P

Feral Ghouls will not talk to you or respond period if you have a Ghoul Mask on. But for some reason they give you the option to talk so maybe there is more to it.

I love the Ghoul Mask. It makes traveling the Metro so much more pleasant.

I just found out today that killing the slavers in Paradise Falls gives you good karma. I was spotted putting a frag mine in the guards pocket, oops. So after I released the slaves the town came on top of me. I surprised to find out that killing them rewarded you with good karma.

Definitely. First play through without the Ghoul Mask I'd burn through a lot of ammo and guns repairs. Now you can save the firepower for the muties, raiders, etc. And the ghouls don't attack the follower either but for now my follower is Charon (a ghoul) and I need to see what happens when I pickup Fawkes.

That Anthony Ling really is homosixual, after witnessing him flirt with Chief Gustavo who said "This gun is loaded, I'd hate for it to 'accidently' go off in your direction"

I thought that was too cute. Poor Mr. Ling has bad gaydar.

That if you listen to Trinnie talk to someone in Rivet City, she describes some crazy six she had in the bar with everyone watching.
That if you wear Outcast Armor while dealing with the Outcast guy where you turn in tech, that bastard will actually take it from you.

After 300+ hours of inventory interaction with Wasteland merchants, I've only just found that you can select any item of which you have a very large amount of (say, Ammo) and then hold down either LB/RB or LT and RT (Right and Left Triggers on the Xbox360 controller) to rapidly scroll through a smaller or larger quantity of that same item. This feature is REALLY useful if you have, for ex, 8000 rounds of 5.56mm and you only want to give Charon another 500 rounds of it. This was a completely accidental find, too.

On my third time thru the game I just realized that Zimmer
Spoiler
was most likely an android himself and did not know it. (you find an android component on his body)

LOL! With Zimmer, I found the component on his body
Spoiler
but always assumed that he always had one, because he's a robotics scientist himself. Replicants, anyone? ;-)

^^^ LOL... that sux, but I too had a similar experience after about 100 hours of play.

And I just found a new one last night...

Captain Gallows first name.
(Not just the name, but I just found that interaction with the BOS members in the Citadel.)
