What have you only just discovered about the game?

Post » Fri Apr 01, 2011 10:17 pm

I only just realized that if you
Spoiler
use the Liniment on Harold's heart during the 'Oasis' quest
, it actually DOES make a difference to the Wasteland. You just have to look carefully.

A few days ago I learned that the Paralyzing Palm perk worked even WHILE using Unarmed weapons, which it suggests it can't. =P

I found out that is a REALLY bad idea to lock yourself in a protectron box.

most recent fun i found out that enemys will spawn at the exact same location as were you leave there dead bodys

so if you carry body to a bin or next to a dead rival faction you can get some pop corn fast travel away for 3 days waiting and run back to witness them fight ,npc will always walk in direction toward there scripted check points after respawn

one of the power stations i have 5 molerat 3 vicious dogs 1 protetron 1 robo brain 2 raiders and 3 talon in closed fence death match muhahah

I found I still can't jump from one piece of a particular semi collapsed overpass to the other, after taking the 'Nearly Perfect' perk...... :violin:

after 100 hours, I only just discovered the Ghoul Outpost in Grayditch. Also, after 50 hours of gameplay, I (actually my friend) realized that you can select parts more than once with V.A.T.S

that a nuclear blast has no effect on children

To be fair, it doesn't have much effect on behemoths, either. I just can't get my head around *anything* standing up to a nuke. Shouldn't just one devastate blocks of a city?

Found out recently that holding E while drinking lets you drink for longer. I used to constantly tap E like an idiot.

Oh, and I'm roughly 150hrs through the game with a male and female character. (lv 9 male, lv 30 female).

Around seventy hours of game play I finally realized you can pick up items with the cursor and joystick... Stupidity at it's finest.

Ah yeah I found that out recently too. I had no idea Z picks up items on the PC, I don't generally read into the manual much and just figure things out myself. :P

Ghoul Outpost? Where?

It's on the edge of Grayditch. You wouldn't notice it.

I actually went looking and found it before you posted. Thanks anyway. I also found the Raiders racing Mole Rats encounter while searching.

Speaking of Grayditch, I only recently stumbled upon the fact that the Wilks boy can be sold into slavery. That outcome has some of the funniest dialogue I've yet seen in Fallout 3. :fallout:
