"What is a Juggalo?"

Post » Sat Jan 23, 2010 12:32 pm

I get where your coming from, however I am shaped by my experiences.

The Juggalo's at my school were nothing but a bunch of trash talking clowns, literally. You so much as walked near them, they would be all over you saying all kinds of unimaginably vile things to you, and sometimes even trying to physically get into fights. At least one Juggalo was arrested weekly at my school.

So yeah, preach family and all you want, but I have had nothing but bad experiences with Juggalo's.

Also, how could you even possible dream about liking a band that sings about murdering people, and liking it?

Over the file size.
All of em were over the file size.

-Original Man Legs
-Halloween man legs
-Christmas man legs
-Muffin man legs.

All over the file size limit and thus banned.

There's only one picture of the legs. And I don't know how to re-size nor do I think is anybody willing to do such a thing.

Well you see son, Juggalo's are not very smart.

They would persistently smoke marijuana right out front of the school, everyday. They would not stop, no matter how many times multiple cops talked/arrested them.

As much as this story is amusing me, I think it should stop there.

Wow this band is like a religion, the contradictions are pretty damn obvious : (quotes from wiki)

The songs of Insane Clown Posse center thematically on the mythology of the Dark Carnival, which the duo claim is a spiritual force that has revealed a series of stories known as Joker's Cards. These stories each offer a specific lesson designed to change the "evil ways" of listeners before "the end consumes us all."

On November 16, 1997, Bruce was arrested on an aggravated battery charge after allegedly striking an audience member thirty times with his microphone at a concert in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Bruce was held for four hours before being released on US$5,000 bail

Changing evil ways, one strike at a time...

If scientology did music, it would probobally be alot like this.

via UrbanDictionary:

"For the most part, an uneducated, pathetic excuse for a human being who listens to the group ICP who are bold enough to actually consider themselves musicians. People you see wearing "hatchet-man" accesories. They should not be allowed to reproduce, because that is too cruel to future generations. ICP isn't rap, it isn't metal, it isn't rap/metal, and it isn't horrorpop. There is only one way to properly categorize ICP; unnecessarily and unartfully offensive and obnoxious noise."

it looks like they are just another group of "non-conformists" "conforming" to something rather then creating their own identity

They're such non-conformists that they aren't going to conform to non-conforming.

Don't ask other people for approval.

This, or else you might get laughed at, or swamped with "I don't know what that is..."
Oh wait, that already happened.

Personally, there are only several ICP songs that I like, but I was really impressed with Twiztid. I love their Rock The Dead.

I guess I can understand the disaffection of middle America in our post-modern cultural malaise, on the other hand, the whole sub-culture seems more about fitting in than being different. It's important though, to fit in with someone; humans are social creatures after all, and I suppose juggalos really are rejecting the status quo to some extent, and to that extent they are different. However, I find the desire to "express" oneself with such quickly recognizable and extreme outward appearances is truly superficial, and I personally would never take any of my philosophical outlook from the pages of the men who wrote "Miracles". That just seems ignorant.

Of course, it is ironic that in setting your self apart, you make yourself look like everyone else in the group.

Yes, that happens when people forget that people are beings which have evolved to be part of a group and to fit in a group as best as possible. Then they decide that this fitting-in-a-group behaviour is for some reason below them and that they're better than that and they decide that they won't be a part of a group and so they become a part of a group of people who don't want to be a part of a group.

It's impossible to be non-conformist; and as a Punk, I know and all groups know this. It's just that simple, and it doesn't matter what group you're apart of that claims to be non-conformist. If you're apart of a group, sub-culture, fad, whatever, you're conforming to something. Maybe not the majority of society, but in a way you are because as I see it. Whenever Juggalo's get together, they've got makeup on and in their clown mentality. But when you see them just walking the streets, you don't see them any different than someone else who's not a Juggalo walking the street. So they're of course conforming to Society's Norms by not wearing their makeup 24/7 or whenever they're out in public alone or with just a couple of friends. It's a group mentality thing, that psychologists are always talking about and debating; which it's not debated much anymore as I understand it.

But the point of this, is if you're a Juggalo, you're a conformist like the rest of us and maybe even more so since you don't wear your makeup 24/7 or whenever you go out in public that's not to some Juggalo Rally or get together. I'd like to see Juggalo's wear their makeup to their jobs and stuff like that, because then I could say they're not so conformist as most people. And if their boss said something about their makeup, and they took it off, then there's conforming to a Societal Norm since it's not deemed normal or okay by Society to be wearing the makeup at work. So yeah, Juggalo's can claim non-conformity, but they're just idiots like the rest who claim it, and can easily be noticed following Societal Norms.

It's quite clear. Dress as a clown and do hip hop. Just like 50 Cent.

Oh. Ok. So why not just do that and have fun, if that's what you're into? Why is it this huge big deal, warranting all that stuff in the OP.

Because they have the mentality to do bad things and are on the news a lot for doing bad things, ike most hostile groups are, but they're just teenagers and stuff. Causing fights, and in some instances even put people in critical condition with a fantasy battle axe. (Story I found on them, that came out of Utah I think? Maybe Idaho? Something like that.) And apparently they're not the most popular at schools nowadays?
