"What is a Juggalo?"

Post » Sat Jan 23, 2010 7:49 pm

D'you know, when I first saw the OP's name a while back, I thought how odd it would be to have an entire cultural substratum that prided themselves on mental defection. It seems I was at least partially correct.

Just a bunch of people who believe ICP are the greatest 'musicians' on earth, and everyone hates them because they're so edgy and out of this world. Their songs speak about magic and stuff. In other words: utter tripe. I've listened to some of their songs for the laughs, they're like stories.

So, in twenty or so years time, like the glam rockers of the seventies who look back with embarrassment now that they are respectable estate agents, what will "juggaloes" do when they look back? Top themselves?

Lately the human civilisation seems to have come to the who's-gonna-make-the-most-pointless-and-meaningless-social-group phase.

LOL!

Seriously, it's like... This is what goes on in a person's head these days:

- Oh hey Left Hemisphere, you know what I just realised?
- What now, Right Hemisphere?
- I've just now actually understood that we're living in an age where we can dress ourselves almost however we want and have any haircut we want and generally look and behave almost however we want, and no one will hang us or burn us on a bonfire for it!!!
- O rly?
- Ya rly!
- Woah, man, that's major! But... what are we going to do with that?
- Ummmm... Well... I guess since in the past people didn't have a choice but had to have the same appearance as every other member of their society, we must use this opportunity precisely to look like no other member of the society we are living in!
- Phew, Right Hemisphere, your logic neurons are on a roll today!
- I no rite?
- But... how can we look like no other member of our society? I mean... I just don't have a clue. Everything we've ever seen or experienced is from the society, how can we come up with something truly unique?
- Uh... well...
- Oh oh, I know! I remember that some people actually already came up with the same idea as us!
- Oh, right! That means that they're obviously thinking the same way that we do and if they, with the same thinking as us, have decided to colour their faces in funny and unusual ways, then logically we have to do the same thing, because that's obviously what we also want to do, because we're thinking just like them!
- Wow! Okay, we're doing it!

Switch "left" and "right" for lefties.

Sorry, but from what I've seen, it's just 2 high school dropouts who created some group for other high school dropouts to feel better about themselves and think they're a family or something special.

But, if you hang out with other juggalos or whatever I guess that's cool they don't judge you. Me? I'll still point and laugh. Sorry.

Why not? I was a goth once and went a long way down the Souxie and the Banshees look. Like a vampiric female Gene Simmons I guess. :)

If you wanna dress up as clowns and hang out, fine by me. But if you come near me (or my country) I'll make clowns scared of me instead of the other way around.

Is a Juggalo like a clown-themed gigolo?

I wouldn't have thought there would be a market for that....

I won't pretend to understand the appeal, but the one thing that really confuses me is the weird obsession with Faygo that Juggalos seem to nurture. Is it really that good of a drink? Some sort of sponsorship going on? Bozo's favorite drink?

0.o ... I dont know what to say, its the strangest, cult I have ever seen, not o mention the lyrics being "religious"... Yep not weird at all. I should try not to judge but that is a pretty creepy thing, mainly the cult part.

I've always seen it as a way to just act like idiot and think or cool or something.
I don't really care, until they bother me. There was a boy in my class a few years ago who was a Juggalo. He never showered and smelt kinda bad but besides that he was fine. But if there the kind that goes around and start acting like ass's then I get a little bothered with em.

I wonder why people have to wear specific clothing and stuff just to fit in aka be different... It would be nice to make money from people I guess especially since fashion is so money makingly awesome..
