what keeps you playing TES, and which one do you favor the m

Played over a 1000 hours on oblivion on one character. I'm not the type of person that makes like 10 different characters and starts over...then starts over...then starts over. I do it once. I play one character then when i complete almost all the missions i dl mods and keep playing. The game can never get borring if u dl mods. So i played over 1k hours on oblivion..then started to play Morrowind b/c i havn't played in such a long time and then realized how much Morrowind is than Oblivion. I love the Tamriel Rebuilt for Morrowind...very big project and it's only 1/8 done and even with only 1/8 done it's simply amazing. They can take their time. I'd rather they take their time and take them 10 years to complete the whole thing but when they do complete it..it will be GREAT. I keep playing b/c of Morrowind basically is all i'm saying.

I've put in many more hours in the Oblivion CS than in Oblivion itself. :P

What keeps me playing them?

Endless modability, background different to and more interesting than other CRPGs, freedom of character creation and development, freedom to roam rather than follow a linear path

Favourite?

Morrowind. Most interesting and original.

I think the ability to do whatever you want (almost - if you know the console and CS) is what keeps me playing. That and the dialogue system, scenery, lore and mods gives it a lot of replayablility. I'd also say that Morrowind is my favourite although I haven't given Daggerfall much time yet.

What's keep me playing are mods, the size of the worlds, the sheer amount of quests, and just finding something new. My favorite title would probably be Morrowind for the world, amount of quests and equipment, and the amount of mods for it. Though I will probably say I would need to play Daggerfall more, but I don't think my opinion will change.

I want to just note that people seriously try way to hard and go out of the way to find things wrong with Oblivion. Oblivion is still a insanely great game that has much to offer. But a lot of people just like to complain, don't they?

I have the most hours on TESIV, with TESIII as a close second, but my favorite would have to be Daggerfall, which I will play if I can ever get it back up and running.

I have to say that Morrowind is undoubtedly my favourite, but I play Oblivion more. Morrowind had the world, the level scaling, the missions, the choices, and the polotics dialed in perfectly. But the improved controls, coupled with a better combat system just makes Oblivion more playable for me, especially now I'm no longer at school and can't play for hours every day.

I seriously hope TESV really takes what TESIII did well and runs with it, whilst also learning from the improvements that TESIV made.

Well, Oblivion was my first, and I liked Morrowind, just not as much as Oblivion.

What keeps me coming back to Oblivion, is the atmosphere, and the mods/CS.

Without the CS, I wouldn't be playing it anymore, or making Blender models, for that matter.

So, Oblivion is more playable for you and you play it more, but you like Morrowind better?

I keep playing TES series because it is TES series. The games have large amounts of content, are deep, are full of lore, and TES games allow complete freedom. I don't care about a game series nearly as much as I care about TES series. The entire series is the greatest ever made, in my opinion. You have done a great job, Bethesda. My favorite Elder Scrolls game is Oblivion. It is my first Elder Scrolls game and it feels like home to me. I love the other Elder Scrolls games as well, but Oblivion is my favorite.

Morrowind, by FAR.

And what keeps me playing varies by which game. Morrowind kept me playing for months on its own merits. It seemed like I discovered something new with every character.

With Oblivion, the modding community is what kept me playing. I was done with it pretty quickly. But with all the mods that still continue to be released by the absolutely amazing community, I still play it. Then again, I still play Morrowind from time to time as well.

TES is my absolute favourite game series, and it's the world, the lore and the free gameplay that makes me keep playing it. I love the freedom, the character customazation and the guilds/factions. Oblivion is my favourite TES-game.

I spent about a year playing Oblivion (on and off) without mods. Once I started modding, I would download new mods daily. The mods kept me addicted up until present. I stopped playing because I a ridiculous amount of mods, and the game basically committed suicide, and wouldn't work without wyre bash.

I honestly never completed anything in Morrowind, besides House Hlaalu. I should probably try and finish that. :P

The open world kept me playing, but I'm disenchanted by all, for now.

Oblivion much over morrowind. Oblivion made things move a bit more smoothly than morrowind and made it easier to fast travel to places you've been before.

I like flexibility, lore, and provocation of thought. Which is why I still play games like TES II: Daggerfall, Ultima Underworld, and Master of Magic on DOSbox while my copy of TES IV: Oblivion just gathers dust.
