So, what kind of character are you going to be in Skyrim?

Post » Tue Mar 23, 2010 3:23 am

An Argonian thief (albeit a well-bundled-up one.) Has yet to fail me, so why stop now (unless of course they remove the few races that require more effort to model and texture.)

Probably some Nord or Argonian or something. Will eventually be a Demigod, but will start out as a warrior/mage combo.

Likely my usual type character specializing in combat with light armor, block, sword, and sneak for starters. I'll usually go with some ranged weapon and destruction magic after that. From there the last (or last three, whatever number of skills we get in SR) will generally go into additional magic skills (unless I suddenly decide to try something different for some RP purpose that I never really stick to).

His race will be Redgaurd, because they have good racial stats and adrenaline rush and is the bomb.

His sign will be The Lord, if it sticks to being the "cheap self heal" sign.

He isn't necessarily a good or bad guy, he just kinda goes with whatever he thinks is the best decision.

In both Morrowind and Oblivion, I went with a Nord Warrior type for the first playthrough, and I will probably do the same. Especially now! Nords have always been my favorite race! I finally got my game in skyrim!

And I will probably also start a Dunmer Nightblade.

It will mainly depends on background, but due to setting i think a Nord, or a Redguard or an Imperial if they fit well with background.

I'd love to play a bearded Nord. Oblivion didn't feature facial hair out of the box, which was a strange thing, imho. Maybe it's a fashion thing in Cyrodiil to have no beard :D. But since the characters shown in the teaser trailer ALL (except the dragons :P) have beards, I believe it's going to be a feature in Skyrim.
If not....well, it's going to be the same boring Wood-Elf again :(.

Because of MW, i always play a Dunmer Assassin.

I hope that Skyrim's lore etc. will make me want to play a Nord as well, because OB didn't do it for me.

I′m thinking about taking my Morrowind character, a Nord, to his rightful home at last :)
He′s not afraid to charge head-on, but he also clever enough to sneak by when situation calls for stealth in order to be successful

But this is just speculation. What will happen can only be answered when entering the world of Skyrim for the first time...

EDIT: I hate reptilians

As always, for some reason, my main will be a Redguard who can use both the bow and the blade, and somewhat has a solid ability of Conjuration.
He'll despise the cold. :)

As per my tradition with Elder Scrolls games, my first character will be a male Dunmer battlemage.

THE ELDER SCROLL V!!! :twirl:

I think I'm going with a Breton out of the box. I'll likely create a unique class specializing in the bow.

The first character I create doesn't usually get very far level wise, since it is primarily used to get my feet wet so to speak.

Once I learn the best way to use my abilities to their full advantage I will likely start over.

I like wood elves too, so I can see having at least one of them in play after a while.

An assasin who runs fast and poisons his enemies from afar. Very evil. Race yet to be thought of.. probably a breton for their massive magic resistance, but i wouldn't want to touch a single spell in all of skyrim my first playthrough. So wood elf might be a good choice for stealth assassinations.

I always start the games as a thief so I can have an all access pass to everywhere in the game. It's best for exploration that way, and I can also learn where good stuff is for all my other characters.

That will totally depend on the character creation tools we are going to get.
I'm really hoping for some screens soon.

... But I'm definitely going to place as a Nord at least once.

A lot will be transplants from other ES Titles Ive played. Shadow-Comes-Inside, my Argonian Witch-doctor from Morrowind and Oblivion. Gozar gro-Galag, my Orc Crusader from Daggerfall and Oblivion, Baron Ilero, my beguiling Imperial Vampire from Morrowind and Oblivion, Hanging Moss, my female Bosmer druid from Oblivion, Celador, my male Bosmer Ranger/Illusionist from Oblivion, Fortunado, my Altmer Necromancer from Oblivion, Gilliam Moorford, my Breton Scholar/Mage from Daggerfall and Oblivion, Master Khanj, Goutfang and Rawlith Khaj Master from Morrowind and Oblivion, Sveld the Trap-Setter, my Nord Hunter/Trapper from Oblivion... and a bunch more too long to list. I usually make around a dozen or so characters/builds in an ES Title.

A khajiit thief. It's always been my main type of character when it comes to Elder Scrolls. Eventually I shall my argonian mage, and my nord warrior.

As usual, my first character would be a sneaky thief/archer who like to skulk around and try to go were he is not supposed to.

Probably a Redguard. A warrior, heavily equipped-light on his feet with a Long Sword that spells bye to anyone who goes against my code.

Though, I wouldn't mind trying something new if the new options excite me enough.
