What kind of character are you going to be?

Post » Wed Aug 10, 2011 10:25 pm

Sorry man, I won't vote in your poll since you obviously disrespect the beast races. You could easily spell their names correctly (like you did for all the other races) by simply checking one of the 10001 other poll threads in this forum, for example searching by the word "race poll" "race character", etc. You simply can't be that far as "Arogoaion" from Argonian, sorry :swear:

What?! I was rushing, I'm alway have bad spelling with the cat race but I love the lizard and the cat race! They rock! :shocking:

Hmm, well I'm going to make lots of different characters.
My favourite one is probably Raize so I'll go with him. (Note, any text in red is written by Raize himself)

Name: Raize (surname unknown).
Race: Half Breton, half Imperial.
Gender: Male.
Age: I thought it wasn't polite to ask a pretty lady their age. /deadpan
About Raize: Well I'm, in the strict literal sense of the word, a bastard. My mother was a breton living on the streets of Skyrim, and I believe my father was an Imperial guard. I think they're both dead by this point, my mother to disease and my father to war. Not that I ever shed a tear over it though. I didn't know either of them terribly well.
Now, what to describe myself as? Well, a dashingly handsome brown haired, green eyed spreader of wealth. Collector of all things left on their own. A thief, in other terms.
Now, how did such a man ever find himself in a backwater place such as Skyrim? Well, I'm honestly not sure myself. My theory is that one of my previous...customers decided to take revenge on me by kidnapping me, transporting me to Skyrim and leaving me to be accused of crossing the border illegally and summarily executed. A legal death...the most humiliating.
Obviously, I wasn't going to take this lying down. So I prayed to the nine (for the first time in my life) that I would become a priest and dedicate myself to the nine divines...if I lived through the encounter.
And when some old bloke decided that I was the "dragonborn" or something, I decided that the nine had answered me.
Good thing I crossed my fingers, eh?

Seems that you have an overall poor comprehension of English grammar and spelling, not just with "cats and lizards."

As for the topic, I am currently writing the back-story of the first two characters and will be back to share them with you shortly.

I am a male Dark Elf mage who is typically a hero but was seen as a threat to society due to his powerful magic abilities (shouts) he was sent to Skyrim to be executed by the empire because his ability was seen as an attack at the empire. After escaping, he will join the rebels and fight to free skyrim from the empire.

Oh god, this is going to be hard to type considering I am currently on holiday and I'm using a mobile, I pray to the nine that this wont be frustrating to type out.

Name: Vandir Reydan

Age: 24

Appearance: Vandir looks just like your average Nord; he is extremely tall, well built and he has blonde hair that comes down to about his shoulders. Although, he has various Dunmer tattoos across his arms and on his face due to his very troubled upbringing at the hands of a Dunmer magister. He has a beard that he often keeps trimmed, although he has been known to have let it grow out on numerous occasions.

Personality: Vandir often strives to do what is right despite the reprocussions that may affect him later on, however there are times in which he has chosen the needs of himself over the needs of others. He is a warrior by trade but he has a strong affinity for resotration and destruction magic, eventhough he prefers the use of the first.

He is fairly intelligent and he can fluently speak the Dunmer tongue (the name escapes me at the moment). His strict upbringing also gave him a very mischievious and curious nature along with a lacking social aspect.

Skills:

- One handed

- Heavy armour

- Destruction

- Restoration

- Block

- Smithing

Background: Vandir was born to a warrior family during a time in which Nordic raids on the shattered province of Morrowind were becoming common, along with Argonian war parties invading from the south. During one of his fathers ventures he snuck onto a boat that departed from Solitude and he spent many weeks amongst the icy waves and chilling air.

When the raiding party had finally ended it's voyage and landed on the northen coast of Morrowind he was discovered by a crew member that was also a friend of
his father, recognising the young boy, he was taken to his father who dealt him very severe punishments for abandoning his home and sneaking off. His father, however, made the most of him and Vandir was often sent to do tasks such as collecting lumber and preparing fires while the rest of the warriors were pillaging.

However, while he was alone in the camp, he was approached by an old and withered hermit who claimed to have aided the Neravarine aa well as being very old and powerful. The ancient Dunmar told him that he killed the entire raiding party for their crimes againt innocent woman and children and he offered the young Vandir to come with him due to the immense power that the hermit sensed locked within him.

For years Vandir grew up under the wise Dunmer's command as he continued to study Vandir and hopefully unlock his powers. They weren't anything to do with basic magic such as restoration, destruction or alteration - these powers were something a lot more otherworldy.... Vandir studied hard and on his free time he often sparred with his guardian and quickly learned techniques that the Dunmer had perfected over thousands of years. He often wondered about life outside his hideaway deep under the ground, he was told it was an abandoned Dwemer stronghold, the Dwemer were a race that were wiped out due to their meddling with powerful forces. This wondering gave him a very curious mind and he often dreamed of his homeland... Skyrim.

Then the day came when the Dunmer, who he now called father, told him he needed to leave and head for Skyrim as it was the only way to discover the power that slumbered within himself. "Head for the Throat of the world, in the northen land of Skyrim, there you will find out what you were born to do".

So after a few years of travelling, he finally reached the border of Skyrim where he was arrested and is now awaiting is execution...

Wow, that was a bit more than I anticipated and I'm sorry that it's probably badly written due to the annoyance of phone writing. Thanks! :3

Khajiit, skooma runner from Elswyr, with a contract to deliver 50 bottles of skooma to winterhold, but got caught by Nordic foresters.

Skills- destruction, alteration, one handed, sneak, smithing.

lived in Corinthe, as a thief, smart and persuasive, then found a profession in skooma running. hates nords for capturing him and dragging him to prison on his face, and overall treating him horribly. Does not do drugs, used to. Also a great smith.
Will kill a Nord without hesitation.

Very pale fur, great for blending in with the snow.

Name ; Victeer-Dar.

Female nord ace of all trades. She's chaotic (unlawful) but she's good at heart. She kills when necessary without hesitation though.

I have made up a small backstory for her but it's not quite ready yet. It will be ready when I get my hands on the game.

Excellent. As of this posting, I am currently the only one who shall have a first character that is, as the poll says, "a wimp".

Ah, Phil. You poor sod. Jailed for "witchcraft", public indecency, public drunkeness, assault, "speaking in tongues", hysteria, and "smuggling Dwemer artifacts". Really, all he wants is to just get back home, but he's going to have to break space-time to do it.

Remember, dead is dead.

History--

The only letter from the past he has on his possession at the time of the execution reads: “Great leader, we beseech the, please heed our words. Little time is left for us and our clan; our most powerful guardians can’t keep these invaders out for long. You must never come back to the fortress, no matter the cost to us, you can’t risk being captured. I write this for you so that if anything happens, you’ll have proof of your past. They won’t be able to deny anything if presented with this. Don’t lose become crazed for revenge if you can hold it, last time you-“ The rest of the letter is too burnt to make sense of, the only other legible words are “Solitude” and “Death.”

Susamaw from a young age dabbled in affairs he shouldn’t have. At the age of 6, he picked up his first bow and arrow, mastering the art of archery by 11. He started to pick locks at the age of nine. When his tenth birthday came, he was given a dagger and a sword to carry with him. It didn’t take him long to create new strategies for dangerous situations. He practiced them all every day to enhance his speed and accuracy, even learning to switch between weapons as fast as he could in case a need to adjust plans mid-battle arose. He was taught his first spell at 16, and ever since then he went on a path to evil.

It didn’t help that his parents were murdered before his eyes a few months after becoming 19 years old. Before long, he was learning necromancy and the arts of the Shadow Knights. That led to him joining a secret society of shadow knights and necromancers on his twenty-first birthday by passing the initiation of being able to summon an undead minion to his side. He has since then become the leader of the clan in 7 years, and fled the marsh to head to Skyrim after that. He was thrown in prison and sentenced to execution for speaking the language of the dead and sneaking into Skyrim under a false identity.
