What kind of computer can run Skyrim

Post » Sun Dec 18, 2011 9:39 am

I'm on an extreme budget of 300 dollars at most, would I be able to buy or build a computer (or have one built, I guess) for that much that could run Skyrim with no choppiness? I really don't know much about computers, so any help would probably also need an explanation on what it is lol

Three hundred dollars would be enough to buy the video card to put into your computer, to play Skyrim at decent frame rates.

well, because you have a strict budget of $300 dollars, my suggestion may not help. but if you can get another $200-$300 dollars together, you could try the Budget Build http://www.build-gaming-computers.com/gaming-desktop-computer.html. It will play Skyrim as well as other PC games.

I am playing the game on a 3 year old Nvidia 9800M GS 512mb card and getting good results. I am not completely maxed out with my settings, but not far from it and the game looks great still. You don't need to go out and spend $300 bucks on a graphics card to make it work. If you want to max out all your settings sure, go for it.

To play a Skyrim with good framerates and nice graphics will run you about $800 and that's if you know where to bargain shop, as far as computers go.
