What kind of dog do you want?

Post » Sun Jan 02, 2011 11:03 am

I don't want a dog, i want a Pahmar :P (a tiger sized and looking subspecies of Khajiit, for those not in the know)

You do realize that all Khajiit subspecies have the same level of intelligence, right? They're no housecats. The average Pahmar has the same intellectual level of the average Suthay-raht.

I still want a dog that dragonbarks bees out of its mouth.

The American Pit Bull Terrier. Not only are they a beautiful dog breed (with an ill-deserved reputation), they are also known to be quite loyal to their owners, risking life and limb to protect them. This fits in perfectly with the idea of having a canine companion, as I'm assuming that BGS wouldn't just have the dog sit there scratching it's ass while your getting eaten by goblins.

Mastiff or a Wolf.

A Mastiff because they are big, strong, and the original 'exploring' dogs, also used in the military. I also think they'd be cudly for some reason XD.

And a wolf cause I'm obsessed with 'em, I just love wolves. :D

Wolf/Husky mix.

They look awesome, and it'd be fitting for Skyrim.

Where is the "other" option? I want a papillon... a small, harmless, expensive papillon.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

I'll take one of them, too. A papillon and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel would go perfectly, together. I've had both in real life and I like both breeds.

Don't try to tell me this isn't the cutest dog in the world! This is my dog, and she is a cocker spaniel, and must be my companion in Skyrim.

Oh, an animal companion?
In that case I want a gecko, I mean I want a lizard, a pet argonian, in a leash, that I can beat up if I want to.
Seriously though a dog is so cliché and will definitely seem ripped off from Fallout (Since apparently there can't go one Fallout game that doesn't have a [censored] dog companion in it :twitch: ).
So I'd rather have something more interesting as an animal companion, something that makes sense that isn't too strong nor too weak either.

Not sure the idea of having a dog follow me around a la' Fable appeals to me. The Wolfhound in the screen-shot did look cool, but maybe it would be better if only the NPCs had 'em though. Wouldn't say no to hunting with a Bird of Prey though. Falconry FTW. :spotted owl: <-- Goshawk.
