well, I'm evaluating wether to use streamsmooth or not. I love how it disables eyecandy when is needed ( combat especially ) and how highly customizable it is.
otoh, I know it has a cpu hit and I know cpu is the bottleneck for modblivion these days.
but what kind of cpu load exactly does it add? is it a noticeable one that in the end kinda defats the point of using it, or is it something barely noticeable?
What StreamSmooth does takes almost no effort for a current CPU, and I'm talking about Pentium III or better. I don't know if you even need that. The reasons people choose not to use StreamSmooth has nothing to do with CPU load. It wouldn't make sense for an FPS improver to lower FPS.
