What kind of moral choices will you make on your first playt

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 6:09 pm

Whenever I play an rpg to this scale for the first time, I find myself inexplicably led to the more zany and weird choices of morality in it. I am a good person, and mostly choose to help rather than hinder, but if presented with the opportunity, I would rather invoke crazy, than calm.

What about you guys? What kinds of choices do you think you will make in Skyrim? What kind of person will you become?

I invariably play a goody two-shoes at the start. It takes effort for me to be chaotic or evil.

(In real life, though, I tend more toward true neutral than lawful good, I think.)

I have a hard time playing as anything other than a lawful good character... If I start being a jerk to people, I'll feel guilty... Even if I'm being a jerk to fictional characters in a fictional world... I'm weird I suppose.

Personally, a little bit of a mix. I'm goin for the pro-imperial, with a little bit of senseless killing :)

It may sound silly, but I just have a hard time being evil, even in a game. So I tend to make morally good choices. And I'll probably make similar choices for my second play through. If I'm given non-violent solutions to problems, I'll probably take those, too. I'm rather hoping for some morally grey choices, though. That would make things more interesting.

I have a general strong tendency towards http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/NeutralGood. Varies by game, of course (Fallout 3, for example.... more willing to just off people there. But still only on the fringes. :) )

I'm such a goody-two shoes in RL, (seriously, I'm pretty boring...) so when I get a game like ES, I turn bad-ass almost from the start. It's nice being able to explore chaos and badness in the game, because I won't dabble in such things in the real world. (If you could call such things 'dabbling'...)

I always play as myself for my first playthrough. Nord is the closest race to Minnesotan, if I found myself in TES I'd use swords and magic, heavy armor, and good to the bone. It can't be helped, I physically have to try to be evil in games. So right away I just relax and play, so I end up always starting with a kind person.

Chaotic Evil. I try to do the worst thing possible to as many people as possible as often as possible. Complete opposite to how shy/nice I am in RL.

I just find it so damn entertaining. 5-6th playthrough is when I usually play as a Righteous Knight/Crusader xD!

I think video games are designed for those types of people.
I'm usually true neutral, lawful evil, or chaotic good.

It's nice being a crazy person in the game--save the world, but always have a dark side to indulge in when no one is watching...

True enough, but Fallout did. If that was anything to go by, it should be interesting what they implement into the game. So what kind of person WILL you be?

Paragon - vigilante, I don't have a evil setting and I'm apathetic enough in real life to play a neutral character.

I'm pretty sure there's a term for this kind of hero, but it escapes me at the moment...
He's an overall good guy, but sometimes his definition of good isn't quite lawful. He does what he wants when he wants, and it's a good thing for everyone else he does good stuff.

Another thing: he's a http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Determinator
Not a kind of hero, but definitely one of his major qualities.

He's a lot like me though, almost entirely (just a little more heroic... a LITTLE)

He's also got a Kenpachi-complex, he loves to fight. Although he doesn't like to kill.

I'm like most of you, I tend to lean towards a good character. I tend to have characters that try to help everyone, and am usually diplomatic. But if I run into a Sicko that's going to be protected by the law..........well............. :flamethrower:
