How about some DLC to repair areas that have already been ruined by natural disaster? Re-build Winterhold, perhaps?

Otherwise, I suppose an erupting volcano would be good, or an ice age/massive freeze, or maybe the land splitting apart and drifting off into the coean.

Those things are huge!

I wonder if the dwarves were casted on Masser, plotting their return as they slam the moon into Nirn.

According to some legends and interpretations, Secunda and Masser are the literal corpse and remains of Lorkhan, cast into the heavens by the Divine after they ripped out his heart.

It would be cool if there were more environment changing events in Skyrim. Like if there were a forest fire. If Winterhold was rebuilt slowly over time. A great storm that ravaged an area. Avalanches and rock slides. A volcanic eruption, though not too massive. The migration of a glacier. General construction through-out the nation. Raids and battles that destroyed areas, creating a need to rebuild. Tree growth? Maybe that would be a bit difficult.

I personally don't like the idea of Oblivion gates that pop up everywhere. That's what annoyed the... well, you know... out of me in Oblivion. You couldn't walk to the next town without a gate popping up and ruining your day.

I lul'd. But seriously, Mount Anthor erupting in fire and lava would be very cool. The Dwemer's mountains do have that track record. I can't see Bethesda leaving lava out for the rest of the DLC, I mean, they did animate a pretty good-looking magma pool in Dawnguard for a single location. Now I know Bethesda does a lot of unique features and assets, but all game devs like to reuse resources. And besides, how cool would a giant Dwemer ruin with lava flowing through it be?

YUUUUSSSSSSSS, this would be. So. Dang. Great. I would love to wander a Skyrim in eternal night and slay dragur, but they'd need new types.

I'd love this too /woot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':woot:' />

This. An avalanche would be best suited with Skyrim n' all.

An outbreak of the plague would be pretty cool too.

No one likes the idea of the neighboring and dangerously close planet slamming into the surface of Skyrim? It could create a bunch of different landscapes, too.
That, and for the first time, space travel (moderately).

There was a thread around march about the land between Riften and Windhelm. As many noticed, it's a volcanic field and the area in the center might be the giant caldera of a dormant super-volcano. It would be nice to see that volcano awake, wipe Windhelm in the process and change the landscape of Skyrim forever.

Global warming caused by volcanic eruptions (in other parts of Tamriel?). This would result in higher water levels and a more temperate climate, deciduous forests and better foliage and flowers. (This is my decorator/designer side talking. I love pretty things?) Then you could have quests to recover treasures from sunken cities.

For 4,000 years you have suffered from their genocide. Their wholesale relentless slaughter. The unquenchable blood-thirst of those barbarians. Those children of the enemy. Auri-El warned us to be wary of them. And what did we do? We ignore his warning, and welcome these Atmorans with open arms. Then the Night of Tears...

There are but many myths and little fact on just what happened on that faithful day. But the results of it were real. The blood-thirsty demons returned from their hell with an unyielding blood-lust. With the wildest of bad luck, he fell in battle from the most unlikely of sorts, in the most unlikely of ways. And from there on, the Falmer were as good as dead.
