  • Snow slides,
  • earthquake,
  • forest fire,
  • epidemic,
  • a volcanic eruption that causes enormous ice melt and flooding
  • voracious insect attack.

I like this idea, could be a great starting point for a future TES, what would the main continent be? High Rock Maybe?

Plague, plague of rabid rabbits..

One of those dangerously and unrealistically close planets smashes into Tamriel's planet.
Would create a pretty cool landscape imo.

Meteor shower. Obliterates Windhelm (no great loss), flattens half of Whiterun, turns Solitude into something resembling Helgen.

Or maybe a huge volcanic eruption, so that in addition to icy mountains you have to contend with rivers of lava.

The super volcano in Eastmarch blowing up.

Or a major earthquake occurred in Markarth, and because the Nords there are weakened you can support either the Forsworn and make the Reach independent (which would make Skyrim much weaker) or help the Nords reclaim it, thus making Skyrim much weaker. This can be facilitated by Thalmor back room intervention with the natives as well.

Well, Eastmarch is an enormous volcano that dwarfs the Earth super-volcano in Yellowstone.

If that thing blew it would make the eruption of Vvardenfell puny. It would wipe eastern Skyrim off the map and level a portion of the Velothi+Jerall mtns.
