What kind of NEW enemy would you like for future Fallout gam

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 4:04 pm

I'd like the Beastlords back. I know they got kinda wiped out by MWBOS, but were they the only Beastlords in the entire north american continent`?

If what remained of them, weren't completely wiped out by the MWBoS, they could have fled eastward towards somewhere else that the MWBoS didn't control or could reach, and regained their strength and numbers. It would be nice to see them again, but I think like the Great Khans, they should change up their name a bit to something new, to show their "rebirth".

They got their mutation from the unique radiation from Mardins underground caves and you have to be exposed to it for years if not decades, to develop the Beastlord telepathic ability. Now we don't know if the babies of Beastlords are born with it, but its safe to say they are.

So any Beastlords that managed to get away from the MWBoS, could start a new settlment somewhere else.

Another possibility is that if the MWBoS, did fall from grace, say by decades of war with the MLA. The MWBoS could have abandoned Mardin, and the Beastlords could have moved right back in.

An idea I had sometime ago

Spoiler
A Ghoul Beastlord. Named (insert here) I am thinking Wallace.

He was one of the Beastlord prisoners of war that the Midwestern Brotherhood forced to transport (under guard) the radioactive warhead, the 547 miles from Kansas City to Colorado Springs. The Midwestern Brotherhood expected the POWs (raiders and beastlords) to die a "delirious vomiting death." Some how Wallace survived. The only prisoner that survived the entire trip. He wasn't treated for the server radiation poisoning. He was sent to one of the MWBoS gulags. Close to death for months, he some how managed to survive the gulag's harsh working conditions. Over the time spent there he started transforming into a ghoul. Other human prisoners including other beastlords stayed away from him. MWBoS guards singled him out for added beatings and less food and water given to him.

During the nights, spent isolated from the others. Wallace could feel his animal mind control powers growing. He had rats as friends. They would bring him extra food. He soon learned that he could convince his guards to stop attacking him just by thinking it. The more ghoul he became the stronger his power.

During a prisoner up rising, Wallace made a run for it. Stopped by two guards.. He focused all his thoughts into controlling them. It worked, the two guards turned their weapons on one another. He got the keys and managed to get out of the gulag. In the years since his powers grew even more, and he has learned to control many people at once.

He dedicates his life to the down fall of the Midwestern Brotherhood. Wallace, because of his mind control powers has made him an outcast amongst other ghouls. The Mutant Liberation Army, despite their mistrust of him, still calls on him to help from time to time.

You joined yesterday, you're making it sound like you've been preaching for months.

Bethesda had Obsidian cover the originals with Fallout: New Vegas.

We're also told what happened to a lot of the NCR in NV although very little is said about the Chosen One or Arroyo.

And it hasn't been two hundred years, its been forty-four years between F2 and NV.
There was a reason for the winking smiley, since i am fully aware that i'm the newest member on the board. no reason to get testy.

I hadn't realised the went back in time from Fallout 3? I seem to remember Bethesda specifically pointing out that they wouldn't do that...?

Its only two hundred and three years after the Great War, where did you get four hundred from?

Politics was also in NV but I would like to see more of it mixed in with action and combat.

And I would also like to see raider clans (had an idea for one that controlled West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio a very long time ago (actually its been a year). I forget their name.).

And I would really like to see a faction that is made entirely of new ideas. A faction where people said [censored] the old world and all of its issues, lets make something brand new so that doesn't happen again.

Sorry, i wrote it pretty late at night, got a little careless with my timeline.

Yeah, there was a little politics in NV, but i was thinking more along the lines changing the power structure within the NCR or something like that. I mean, you had the opportunity to kill the president, but it really only affected the troops stationed in NV. I don't remember hearing anything about the consequence it had 'back home'.

Ok. How about after the 2nd battle of the hoover dam the Legion was completly disolved and the NCR Must fight the MWBoS. Better?
Ok. Once again. just shot down an idea that you dont like. This is a suggestion forum and im just making suggestions..... Ok. What about the Legion Fighting the MWBoS?
If you're making suggestions for future Fallout plots, it should be in the Official thread.
Even at that I don't think your idea would work like Gabe said, the Legion isn't just going to disappear after the defeat - they never vanished after the first, a faction the size of 4 states isn't going to just vanish because some of their Army died on a Dam.
The Legion, under Caesar, recognises the power of the Enclave and they were but a 3-5 man group, I'd hope if Caesar was still around he'd see that the MWBoS have that much power also and they'd be be left alone until the Legion utilizes far superior fighting techniques against PA, MWBoS might come after Legion if they choose to expand, fuelling a war, and the idea that Lanius could take charge and head East would be another cause for that war.

Didn't meant to sound that way.

I have no idea why I threw NV in there, there are forty-four years between F2 and F3. NV is four years after F3.

I see.

Well if a government leader who is generally liked is assassinated I don't think the people who his presidency was hurting would complain.

Mutated kangaroo. In brotherhood of steel 2 there was supposed to be these enemies. They would knockdown you with their powerful kicks and could jump at you even you try to hide to higher ground.

New alien species. We have now little green mens, but new should be Greys, Tall Greys and Reptilians too. Greys could use telepathy against you reducing your aiming abilities greatly by confusing your head. Reptilians could chance their appearance into human form just like in real life and so they could infiltrate into wasteland settlements.

And no tarantulas or other big spiders in fallout 4. I hate spiders in games. :( And real life too.

Giant tick would be scary. They should eat your legs in seconds.

That's why the Burned Game 2 was never made.

I hate the idea of aliens.

I love spiders, when I was little I had a pet spider that I had found until my mom found out and made me kill it (I was seven and she's arachnaphobic). I think it would only make sense for them to be have adapted and grown in the underground parts of the wasteland.

I don't know, sounds too similar to spiders.

Hah! Actually the first time I don't hate an idea from Nalle Puh! RadTicks! Hurrhurrhurr! They're not too similar to spiders, really. They are nastier, they are slow and they svck blood till they grow ten times their size, it's disgusting. So imagine walking down a dark cave, darker than any cave we've seen in Fallout so far, and there are mutant ticks crawling in the roof and on the walls. As big as rad scoprions. Jeez, what an extreme mutation since they normally are just a few millimeters. Or something even MORE extreme - http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3d/Yellow_mite_%28Tydeidae%29_Lorryia_formosa_2_edit.jpg Went from being just a fraction of a millimeter to the size of a smart car, hurrhurrhurr!

Centaurs?

yeah that was kinda borderline for me, I think if they start going more in that direction, especially with large mutated(and unnecessarily disgusting looking) insects, then it doesn't really fit for me.

Ticks are arachnids, so probably closer related then you think. They differentiate at order out of kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus, species. (I learned that in zoology :))

The idea of quite a few factions with the ability to join and ultimately help or destroy any faction through your actions. I think in each faction there should be multiple quest givers that each have there own agenda and depending on skills and how and who you go through can effect there outcomes. Such as the Enclave. You can be a good soldier and try to help rebuild their strength or you meet a Vertibird tech who is actually an NCR spy and you help him gather intel in an attempt to finally crush the Enclave? Or you take a medical interest in the science experiments which sends you into finding the mutant army and finding out how they keep building numbers but while on your journey you meet a group of mutants trying to learn and better themselves. But you could only do one strain of the quest line giving you mulltiple possibilities with multiple factions.

I would like to see Fallout in my hometown of Detroit. I mean fallout is set in a 50's theme and d-town was amazing then, but now detroit already looks like a fallout game. Some factions can be......(i aint good with names so ill just tell what they like)
- A gang of raiders that uses vehicles ( its detroit come on, you gotta have vehicles) they occupy windsor, canada. they are like the raiders in fo3 but they are one big gang. maybe they can be called the speed freaks.
- a group of merchants like the gun runners, but instead of guns, they make ready for war cars.
- a group of hardcoe mercs like talon company that have occupied a fort and have some of the best equipment in the wasteland like humvees( or whatever they use in fallout), tanks, artillery and alot of guns and armor, maybe some vertibirds too.
- I want a good mutant faction, they can be ghouls and they do their ghoulish things.
- we gotta have a bad mutant faction too, but not super mutants or ghouls, we need something unique to detroit, if you have any ideas it would really help. they ride mutated animals insted of using cars cause of some hippie ideaolagy.
- I want a cult of psycho loco's. they worship something bad and eat people, do human sacrifice, the soldiers can be called martyrs because they will die for their cause even if it is suicidal ( like bomb vests and driven explosive cars in warzones)
- The wastelanders can all be united and each settlement does something unique to benefit the wasteland.
- And last but not least, the mid-west brotherhood of steel. from what i heard from fo3, they got thir ass handed to them somehow and now their back in chi-town (chicago), they had time to recover and heard about the auto factories in detroit and want to conker it. Now remember, they aint like the fo3 BoS, these guys are fascists dikes so they will be like a greedy empire.
So thats my list so far if you have any ideas it would nice. Oh ya and there all joinable and whichever faction you choose, you can make enemies and allies so you will have alot of different choices with every playthrough.

Bwah! I like B-grade horror movies :(

Centaurs?

They should, if centaurs are to exist in Fallout 4, add more vareity to them like those in Fallout 1, where the Master just threw a lot of different animals into the vats to see what would happen, like it having a dog head and such... I wouldn't mind if Centaurs would look a lot like the thing in, well, The Thing. One of world's greatest movies evah! It's probably from there they drew inspiration for the centaurs anyways. Woho!

Ticks are arachnids, so probably closer related then you think. They differentiate at order out of kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus, species. (I learned that in zoology )

Never said they weren't related, just that spiders and ticks aren't too similar :P Spiders usually have longer legs, they are fast, build webs to catch prey and all that. Ticks are small and slow and they svck blood till they grow huge.

What about mutated mosquitos? Or mutated vampire bats? Something that'll svck us dry of blood, hehe!

I've always wanted a Canadian Rebels faction, or a game that lets you see part of occupied Canada.

Isnt that whats fallout always strove to be though? Since, y'know, itsd based on 50's notions of what the future will be like?

Just look at the old http://www.thereticule.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Fallout_Top.jpghttp://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20070625091231/fallout/images/c/c7/FO1_loading_PA.jpeg.

Those, things... in the second picture could be good.

Those things in the second picture are raiders, who are grabbing the vault dweller and in the background there's a power armored guy. Or perhaps you meant that as a joke, Idk.

I agree that Fallout 4 could and should be the end of Super Mutants and possibly Ghouls in the Fallout universe. It's been 200+ years since the bombs? No more sources of FEV? A lot of people dont want the Enclave or BoS any more but they are much more sustainable characters the mutants and ghouls
