Just cause Legion might lose canonically at Hoover Dam doesn't mean their forces vanish, they'll still be there, maybe less powerful and have to rebuild their strength but they'll still be there.
Even if they fall apart into half a dozen new factions the NCR can't just roll over them. Cause while Legion might split into new factions the legionnaires training and equipment will still be used.

... No... Legion are filled with fanatic religious zealots, they aren't gonna just "disappear".
Like I said, even if they fall apart and split into multiple groups the groups will all still remember the training that Legion provided and they'll still have the weapons and armor to defend their lands.

NCR simply cannot carve their way into Legion lands *snaps fingers* just like that.
Enclave can. But NCR can't. And Enclave are basically dead excluding the Chicago Outpost.

That would be awesome, actually seeing a powerful supermutant faction for the first time since F1 battling with a dictatorship for absolute control of the MW.

But now the Legion has a battle on two fronts... If the Legion diverts attention to the MWBoS then the NCR will find a key point to attack.
Honestly I want alot of different factions, including Lyons BoS and Outcasts, effective Raiders, Ghoul militia, a Super Mutant Army, Trogs, Legion, (NOT THE NCR)... Can I choose to add everything from Gabriel's to mine? I want choices, alot of enemies and for gods sake the factions have to realise that if I put pressure on this faction and this battlefield, then I'm going to lose some ground here unless I can train more troops and rally my forces effectively.

But it was never said that the time period had to be after the last one. It could take place before the NCR took New Vegas

I could just as easily say House took Vegas (please let House have won, NCR needs to lose a little, which hasn't happened at all since they were founded).

Something new and fresh (no recycling of the old factions - or doing so as little as possible), yet fitting. But I wouldn't want anyone to be labeled as "enemy" by default.

I wouldn't mind a colony/township of rogue bots. Like the droids that escaped The Institute, but they feel a bit of a grudge against organic meatbags.

Sorry to say but Bethesda has announced that they will not go back in time at all, whenever they make a new game a little ahead in the timeline that game will mark how early the next game can take place.

Hmmm. Another fun enemy to add would be some remnants of the Chinese army. Some where. Just throw the Chinese into the game. Probly not a good idea but idc its an idea.

Fallout 3 already did that, and it wasn't a good idea then and it still isn't now.

By the time of the Great War, China was being overrun by American Forces. There wouldn't be any remnants of the Chinese military anywhere in America (seeing as how they only invaded Alaska, not the lower 48). Unless they were spies and such stuck in America.

Only remnants I would like to see is the Shi and they don't give a crap about China or communism.

Dude, I've been preaching the Shi of San Francisco since i joined this board. It would be EPIC to have a resource war between the NCR and San Fran! (and the more general population of the wastes)

The only problem with The Shi and San Francisco is that Bethesda isn't likely to go back and cover the story that was already made by Black Isle. (Even though It's been more than 200 years!)
I hate it as much as you. I would LOVE to see Vault 13 in 3D and learn what has happened in the time in between. And even a glimpse of the NCR infrastructure would be (censured) brilliant!

BUT, that is NOT what this thead is about. It's about NEW factions, NEW Enemies or even... POSSIBLE ALLEYS!

NEW ideas people! The wasteland is quickly becoming a... well... Wasteland. Mutants is done! The remnants of the old government is done! Three aposing "wasteland" Factions (to a limited degree) is done!
So New ideas!

Maybe delve a bit deeper into: Politics? Infrastructure of raider clans? or a completely new world organisation! (That for some reason waited 400 years to sprawl up)?

Bethesda had Obsidian cover the originals with Fallout: New Vegas.

We're also told what happened to a lot of the NCR in NV although very little is said about the Chosen One or Arroyo.

And it hasn't been two hundred years, its been forty-four years between F2 and NV.

Politics was also in NV but I would like to see more of it mixed in with action and combat.

And I would also like to see raider clans (had an idea for one that controlled West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio a very long time ago (actually its been a year). I forget their name.).

And I would really like to see a faction that is made entirely of new ideas. A faction where people said [censored] the old world and all of its issues, lets make something brand new so that doesn't happen again.

I'd like the Beastlords back. I know they got kinda wiped out by MWBOS, but were they the only Beastlords in the entire north american continent`?
