What kind of types of metal would you like to see? What I mean is by armor/weapon type. I'm sure there will be Iron, and Steel, but anything special like Daedric?

I would assume all the ones from the past games make a return. Deadric, Elven, Mithril, ect. Possibly some new ones, but who knows?

I also wonder what type of magical armors there would be. I found some special armors/staffs that were just plain useless in Oblivion.

though corny, perhaps they could think of a better name. i would like to see a "dragon" armor seeing as this game has everything to do with dragons it seems appropriate.

All the old materials should be in, even the Ice one from Solstheim.
Amber and madness not so much, but as discussed on another topic.
I really hope they don't just tier the weapons then name them after a material.

Oh looksie, a Iron sword, oh looksie a steel sword, oh looksie a daedric sword.. oh looksie I've dropsied asleepy.

Since Todd has mentioned advanced crafting possibilities, and looking at recent Fallout games we can tell that they set bar in that area pretty high (so I expect me some medieval smiting/mashing/else goodness), I would love to see the ability to smelt, metals and/or ores and re-forge some weaponry that way. I guess that you could compare it to hand loading bullets. Supported by the new graphics engine I would not mind going dwarf-fortress on my equipment.

All the metals from earlier would be great, but I reallly hope they have variations within one type of metal. Example nordic forged steel/ebony/etc, weapons and heavy armor made from mithril(in lore armor is classified by design: heavy armor is composed of larger plates, light armor of small plates, chain or leather/fur http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Manual_of_Armor).
And that they treat the metals/designes as a part of the lore and don't just scale them. example: orcish armor(by lore steel smithed after orcish tradition) is supposed to be lighter than steel and glass is supposed to be some of the lightest equipment of all.
Oh and I would like silver armor(non-legion type unlike MW)

I know it's not a metal, but I always thought it would be cool to have bone armor available.

I would like the armors materials to remain relevant throughout the game, not just being a sequential series or iron-steel-ebony-deadric.
I would like to see more variety in armor durability, enchantment potential and disadvantages (sink in water?).

But Adamantium, Dragon Scale and Troll-Bone.

Id like to see materials such as elven and deadric sort of downplayed. Not deleted, just put more emphases on more realistic materials such as steel, wood, and iron. Silver should be included, but i dont want a whole weapon made out of it. Maybe a steel weapon laced with silver, use that against deadra and ghosts.

I want to see the element Burnium. Burnium burns everything, even water. If one small gram of Burnium was present in our universe it would burn everything.

Adamantine, Obsidian(Special Obsidian that does not flake or something), Amber(Sap).

Glass, though hopefully it will look better than Oblivion's glass armor.

Ohhh.. i just remebered one feature that i really liked about morrowind, the fact that you were able to kill creatures and make armor out of them, the dragon in skyrim definitly has to be an armor type.
