I enjoy dual wielding characters. And I have tried all the weapons in dual wield. My personal favourite must be using two axes, it just looks badass for a Nord in heavy armor. The only thing that is bothering me is the fact that there is only one axe shown when sheathed, but I guess I could pretend I have both axes in the same sheath. (A bit odd but it is better than a weapon magically appearing out of nowhere.)

Anyway, if you dual wield, what weapon types do you like the most? Staffs and magic use count aswell IMO.

2 ebony swords + dual savagery + elemental fury= win. I guess I prefer the ebony swords because they are elegant and fast, and closer to katanas than the other swords.

Of course you can't go wrong with dual fire spells either...

I like using two swords, they are faster than 2 axes or two maces.

I like swords. I use a dragonbone and daedric. I especially like the look of the Nordic sword though. It has a scimitar curve to it.

I go with a dagger in the left hand and a mace in the right (invested in the bone-crusher perks) based on the following from the UESPwiki:
The speed of a dual-wielding attack is based on the weight of the left-hand weapon. The stamina cost of a dual-wielding attack is determined by the weight of your right-hand weapon ("weapon weight" in the power attack formula, below). Therefore, depending on other factors, it is often optimal to have a lightweight weapon in your left hand. Using the same type of weapon in both hands will likely allow more efficient use of perks.
I've smithed and enchanted the weapons (as well as my apparel) so the full combination is pretty OP. I often scale back to get more experience out of each melee.

My Orc warrior has used all kinds of combinations to include an Orcish mace in the right hand and a war axe in the left. He's also a big fan of two war axes.

My brand new, straight out of the box dark elf thief will likely stick with sword in the right, dagger in the left or sword in right and a destruction spell in the left. I may try two daggers with him once I have a little better equipment to work with.
