From what i have seen, dwarfs ruins are in, and a few nord settlements/cities are built on the remnants of dwarven cities

Yes, forgot about this, I know dwarven ruins have been mentioned, but I still have to check were and how.

road to skyrim, second video at 7:22 it shows concept art, and Todd says "epic cities that have been carved out by dwarves long ago that these guys [Nords] have moved into, "

Yeah and some of the concept art and screenshots from the GI article look like dwarven-like sculptures carved into a mountain side. And he said he likes how in TES they take typical fantasy themes like Dwarves and put a Elder Scrolls twist on them. Like the Dwemer/Dwarves are actually Mer (Elves).

I got the part in which he talks about the TES-twist on dwarves but doesn't confirm a relation to Skyrim. I'll check the video again and specify that he talks about nords moving in their ruins.

I like the idea of this thread in theory but by the time we'll get to june this thread will be at its 16th thread. I'm not say that's a bad thing as a place to get confirmed info is a good thing.

I don't know how likely that is. Not many people hang around threads like this, since not many read them and they like to start threads about anything, including the most pointless stuff. Why would it be a problem if it reaches a high number? Just asking. I started it because I wanted a list with everything that's clearly confirmed, without speculation. Speculation is all around the forum. And I hope I'll keep it alive until summer at least. I picked up the similar thread from someone a year ago for FNV but didn't support it for long since not many people hang around them. Without the hype machine, it may slowly die.

He actually says "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvpoR7knnI0&t=6m48s..." and then goes on to discuss how it has some "classic fantasy things" so people recognize it but then you see these "epic cities carved into mountains long ago these guys have moved in to."

Don't forget: Windows confirmed to do nothing.

Dammit, I was so happy the first time I read this =(

I thought it meant that Windows? didn't have to do anything, which would speed up the game considerably.

I was a little worried about less skills and Fallout-type leveling and level scalling, but the perks and the look of the main menu confirms that this game will be Fallout with magic (atleast Fallout 3 was devisified enought from Oblivion to defend that its more than Oblivion with guns), and its all your fault people, for requesting stuff from Fallout in a TES game (like VATS..... realy people?). Next time they will most likely confirm guns... dwemer or powder powered, I dont care, I dont want to see them in any form or shape in TES series, they already corrupted Fable series.

I think I just found my personal hype killer, good, I might actually enjoy the game when it comes out when I concentrate on negatives and kill all expectations beaforehand. It also makes the waiting less painfull...... where was I going with this post again?

I don't know, did you at least drink something good before writing it? "Fallout 3 with magic" - you really need to coin this phrase now!
Yes, it's my fault personally for this, but I don't remember when I asked that Skyrim must look like F3, You know why? Because I never did. VATS in Skyrim? I don't need it.
- Friendly pat on the back -
We really don't know too much about the game mechanics right now, so let's not kill it in its infancy. 18 skills is still enough for a balanced and great game. Look at ME2, they call that TPS with dialogue an RPG - are you still worried about Skyrim? And perks could actually bring HEAVY customization if they make them diverse and not gearing them completely toward Jack-of-all-trades.
I hope I got this post to its destination. Cheers.

I realy appreciate your work here mate getting all info in one place, its just.... this series is getting simplier and simplier, not to mention now heavely borrowing from another game. I know we know little about this game so far, and I see possible positives about the new skill system, but I rather remain negative, just so I can bear till 11/11/11. And yea, there ware bunch of topics of people requesting stuff from Fallout, including VATS and guns, I was reffering to these people. I need to grab a beer.....

Me too. Beer, I mean. Or better, some boiled wine. Ah, like in skyrim. Ahem...
I know the series seems to be simpler, it mostly happened from Morrowind to Oblivion, but onwards to F3, BGS got progress towards RPG mechanics. About the perks, I really hope they're not just making "+5 to Blades" types. I know I'll enjoy the game, it's actually seeming more of an RPG than Oblivion at this point.
Yeah, I know about people asking for VATS and guns. They'll have mods, if modding is still in.

From the videos released today at GameInformer, it appears that the Centurion Spheres (or a mechanical being that closely resembles it) are going to be back int he game. They were n Morrowind too.

Yup, saw them, thanks. In about 24 hours I'll have time to watch the videos again and update what I spot. Of course, everyone is invited to contribute.

Do you think it would be too over/too crowded the top to include the source of the information and date int he OP?

I havn't had a chance to read all the way through everything, first thing though. This is Awsome! Skyrim I mean. Ok.. Does anyone have any information about the new game engine they are using for this game, I did hear from GI Mag that they had completely rebuilt it from the ground up. Now not to knock Morrowind or Oblivion (still playing both) But we all know that Havok is outdated and a resource monger. I do apologize if this is sorta of key to this topic but I do feel this is something our more hardcoe fans would like to know aswell.

Alduin - also called the World Eater, a massive dragon foretold by the Elder scrolls. His triumph means the destruction of Tamriel.

I wonder how long this game has actually been in production development. WoW coming out with an expansion and BGS making Skyrim along the same general theme is curious.

@Silverglade, it might become crowded, but I'll try it. Some of these days I'll do a heavy clean-up of the list.

@blacksmithkazuma Havok is the physics engine, the greater part is called Gamebryo. We still don't know much about the new engine. We can expect Havok will still be in.

@Werewolf&Vampire I remember at least 3 people telling me Werewolves were confirmed. Ok, I'll probably get them out.

@schmoe Development for Oblivion started in 2002, right after Morrowind, even together with its XPs. Dev for F3 started in 2004, two years before Oblivion being released. Todd Howard said they are working on the game since right after Oblivion, so very probable dev started in 2006, which is normal. Also, he said last summer they are working on two games. One we know is Skyrim, the other is very probably Fallout 4.
