What's A Leaper Demon?

Post » Mon Nov 12, 2012 8:30 am

I really can't find much information on this other than Mehrunes Dagon being referred to as once being the Leaper Demon King. This would seem to imply he ruled over beings called Leaper Demons, which because of the name sounds like some kind of little impish creature. Has it ever been mentioned anywhere what these are/were?

A deman that can leap away real well, especially when it involves Alduin's mouth.

I saw that picture of kangaroos and immediately flashed back to that scene in Jurassic Park with the Gallimimus. Demons indeed.

Yeah. http://imperial-library.info/content/magne-ge-pantheon. Their leader don't leap no more.

EDIT: Take the above with a tablespoon of salt.

I am reminded of the Redguard myth that spirits survived the cycle of creation and destruction by jumping at strange angles.

The scamps. LDK used to be tight with them, until he became a big shot Daedric Prince and made himself some new best friends (dremora). Now they're just cannon fodder trying to get back in their king's good graces.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:36_Lessons_of_Vivec,_Sermon_7 Once upon a time, there was a scamp that actually had some pull with Mehrunes Dagon. Then he ticked off Molag Bal, and he and his people became "useless to summon" and therefore easy to dominate ever after. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:36_Lessons_of_Vivec,_Sermon_14

Now is there a connection between Molag Bal's anger at the Duke of Scamps and Alduin's anger at the Leaper Demon King? [grins]
