At what level is gear maxed? : V

My question is, at what level doe quest items max out? Is it 20? I don't want to start the DB or TG until I can get the best versions of the rewards. I'm level 21 now.

Different items max at different levels. For example:

Nightingale armor maxes out at 32, for example, while the nightingale weapons don't max until 46.

Varies but you're safe 42+ I believe. 32 for the Thief Guild stuff I think. Not sure if DB scales.

DB does not scale, you'll get the same effects for the armor set at level 1 or level 30 when you get it.

42 is not safe, there are at least 4 levelled weapons that don't top out till 46.

its not like you NEED to do quests to level. in fact its probably faster if you just explored dungeon to dungeon, slaughtering all you see.

Dungeons become tiresome after a while. It looks like I've got a LONG way to go then.

I swear oblivion gear maxed at 20? It seems redundant to make you wait until you're level 46+ to get the best quest items. I want the best version of Nightingale armour!

Some of Oblivion's gear didn't max until 36ish or so. At least I think that's about where the Escutcheon of Chorral maxed.
