I had never seen another game back then that had a race with a animal head and humanoid body that was playable since Might and Magoc 8 : Day Of the Destroyer..

How about you?

Skyrim and Oblivion both amazed me - it was only a matter of time before I tried Morrowind.

Back in 2001 I was a first-person-shooter gamer who had just finished my second play-through of No One Lives Forever and was looking for a new game. I was browsing Amazon dot com and saw screenshots for an upcoming game called Morrowind. The screenshots on Amazon looked incredible. And some of the festures sounded interesting. I had never played a roleplaying game before. I didn't even know what the word meant. But the game looked interesting so I decided to put in a pre-order.

It was supposed to be released later that year. Its release was postponed at least once and was finally released in 2002. I still remember the day I got in the mail. Thanks to Morrowind I know exactly where I was and what I was doing at 10:30 AM EST, May 1, 2002.
