What makes the PC version of Crysis 2 better than the consol

As I know the Xbox got no Antialiasing and the ps3 2x or 4x, am I right?
I thought it was the other way around?

I mean, many games I've played on my PS3 have all got jagged edges, when playing up close, though. Only some games have some sort of aliasing technique called MLAA (http://www.realtimerendering.com/blog/morphological-antialiasing/).

I don't know about the 360 though. I don't own one, but I heard somewhere that it supports it.
yea you are correct the gpu for the 360 has some memory 10mb chip that was customly made by ati for the 360 forgot what its called but basically it lets 360 games have 4xaa with no stress on the card at all while the ps3 doesnt but what makes up for the ps3 is the beast cell processor.

that's partially right, the 360 has a better gpu but it only has 4 processor cores i believe. the reason why a lot of games on the ps3 look worse than the 360 or PC versions is because the developers are too lazy to develop for the ps3, because the ps3's method for processing is strange. usually, physics and high-calculation processes are done on the cpu and video related things are done on the gpu. the ps3 is meant to do everything on the cpu, the gpu was really only put in as a crutch for developers used to using a gpu.

Im going to say this again who cares about minor details of the consoles and what PC's can run, who cares either way Crysis2 will look good on all systems sure some better than others but what is with the constant dike measuring when one person says that what they have is better there has to be a all out battle

How about this everyone? PC looks better than the other two systems due to its hardware. Happy?

Oh, and here is the way it works

PC>PS3>Xbox 360

This is what CryTek said a little while back

What he said, the pc simply gets updated more often as it can be built in different ways (more competition for who has the best gpu/cpu out all the time) while consoles are built by companies that can have their time.

misinformation in its rawest, purest form. i love it -.-
stop patting yourself on the back for the financial choices you make, you 8 year old. i have both a pc and a 360, and im getting the game for pc. i agree on sandbox editor and modding ability (console commands as a seperate point? really? thats a part of modding).
but saying the controls are better because you have a KEYBOARD is the stupidest thing i've ever heard. if you had said "mouse" i would understand but the keyboard is the worst gaming controller ever, its made for typing text, not triggering context sensitive actions. with a gamepad you can sit down on your couch and its made to fit your hand. keyboards are made to work with short fingers, console gamepads have a different approach to the default position of the hands and work great for me.
and if you had seen any footage of the game we're talking about here you would realize that the console version they've been showing so far looks better than most recent pc games. i have a so called high end rig, i play games at 1680x1050 with all settings maxed out, but what i've seen of crysis 2 still defecates on most games. check out the multiplayer gameplay from gamescom, brand new and the best visual showcase so far. sunshafts, object motion blur, particles and deferred lights on every single bullet, smoke filling up the scene, depth of field. its all there.

No, I'm not 8. You type like you are though

And what I meant with the keyboard is that it has FAR more buttons for more options.

Well, keyboards have more keys that the developer can program into the game. Therefore, the keyboard is better. Sure it takes some getting used to from a gamepad, but once you settle into a keyboard you realize you can do much more with it. ;)

actually iirc the ps3 only has one physical core and 8 spu's
First off, you are wrong. A processor is made up of multiple cores. Thus the name, Computer Processor Unit or Computer Processing Unit, I forget. Either way, that leads to the second thing. It's CPU, not SPU
It's actually central processing unit by the way. And yes it may be good on consoles but the pc experience will be way better. If any of you disagre you need to play crysis and crysis wars and compare it to other console games. The console could bot render maps like mesa or battlefield with awful graphics because of the shear size. However despite that the pc version will be better crysis2 will be unique and good in it's own way on consoles.

It doesn't. But what we can hope on is that crytek has learned from their possible mistakes from the first one, mostly the multiplayer, and fix that in the second. From the footage I've seen it looks equivalent to better than the original. That footage is the E3 preview.

Maybe it will be properly supported, unlike Crysis and Crysis Wars. Crysis 2 will also have better graphics and scale better to lower hardware.

I hope the PC version of Crysis 2 is much better than the consoles otherwise I'll be mad. crysis 1 was a brilliant game and thats because it was a PC exclusive and now becasue Crysis 2 is on Consoles it might be down graded

Oh man!

Just stop these " Pc over consoles" threads.

Its always the same result.

Pc by far the strongest ( gamer pcs)
Ps3 strongest console
Xbox 360 oldest one on the list.
Wii: out of the question.

@ Sonyguy
You said you gonna end your fight for Sony on these forums!

@ mikestoleyobike

When you add some graphical mods to crysis 1, it will beat Crysis 2 anytime. Even some PC:Mag reporters confirmed that.

Crysis 2 modded > Crysis 1 modded > Crysis 2 maxed > Crysis maxed

but anyways, what I meant in my comment was more about questioning how the gameplay would be better. I could care less about the graphics tbh

Possible... but until crysis 2 will be modded... it will take some time i think.

But why i you all so sure that crysis 2 will make use of Dx11 "only" features. Only because the Cryengine 3 supports it, it doesnt mean that they will be used in Crysis 2. The only thing thats sure for now is that all DX10 Features will be in. By the way... it surely will not use heavy tessalation... that feature is just too hardware intense to make good use of it. And why ive seen so far in games.. every model looks pumped up with it,,, but not more detailed or something.

I read somewhere that they're putting in dx11 features. In fact, I heard the reason they're not showing much of the PC version is because they're waiting till they finish implementing the dx11 features.

I own a Gtx 280 and i will definetly not buy a new graphics card for a few Dx11 features. No matter if Crysis 2 will make use of it or not.
Also Dx10 was never borught to show its true quality...

@ SJenZ
It doesnt matter if they release new consoles.
For example:
A few days before the official release of the Ps3, Nvidia brought out the 8800 GTX. So even @ its release, there was hardware on the Pc market, that was way stronger than the newest console.
