What media player do you use?

Is there such thing as a 'best media player' out there? I've been using vlc for a while, though i can't really remember why. I think its because vlc's able to play a wide variety of files or something. I know the default windows media player can't play certain files.

For videos I use Media Player Classic Home Cinema. It can run pretty much any video on its own and unlike VLC, it doesn't ruin image quality.

Yes, I've seen comparison pictures. Both players at default settings VLC has surprisingly much poorer image quality than MPC HC.

I use Media Player Classic too, but with K-lite Mega codec pack installed. (Actually it's included in the codec pack and it's free)

Never had any problems playing a variety of Video Files (music included).

I stopped using VLC a long time ago due to its stuttering audio on some audio cards.
Win Media Player, and the FLV Player do not produce this stuttering audio.
I just checked out Media Player Classic HC and it too is a winner.

Media player classic..like mostly everyone else. (? ̄△ ̄)?

When I get my own laptop I'll probably end up using the same program.
