What mod do I need to fix this distant land graphic problem?

Couple pics to show what I'm talking about

You see the weird circles all over the place? I want to get rid of those

I've used TES4lodgen, but that didn't seem to do much

Will almost everything visible fix it? Or am I overlooking some tweak that can take care of it

That's where the land has been shaded for a building, but the building isn't visible. Really AEVWD will "fix" that, but be wary of the performance impact it comes with.

Exactly, Really AEVWD is a nice add-on, but NOT essential! There are way better mods to take care of the LOD stuff, like OBGEv3, and the crysis dof with distant blur, MLDAA.
Just this together with godrays, bring this much relief (of course the liquid water 2), that I dont miss this.
Better mods would be Duke Patricks, FCOM, etc, These mods improve gameplay, not the postcard view. :celebrate:

The weird circles should be fixed by a noise replacer like Koldorns, and the LOD normal maps in high definition (every bump counts)

One of the various "fog" solutions is another way of avoiding/solving this kind of issue. A bit more Morrowind-ish, too.

Thanks guys I think I'll check out the almost everything visible mod. I don't wanna hide or coverup the circles, I just wanna see whats actually there.

I'm pretty sure my PC can handle it all, I had all my shaders off and no texture pack installed for those pictures

Doesn't this all boil down to personal preference? For me RAEVWD is all-but-essential provided my computer is up to handling the load. I don't use every module... no city esps, no inner Imperial city, only bits and pieces of other cities ...but all else is checked. On the other hand, I thoroughly dislike distance blurring. Same with fogging except as it occurs as a natural part of weather change. I agree that blurring and fog can hide a multitude of sins, but despite that prefer my game-world in sharp focus. I'm not saying my stance is right for everyone....it's simply right for me. To each his or her own.

For the record, I just use Ayleid Ruins and Forts. Anything else and I've basically dropped from 50fps to 28fps, and I'm not willing to do that.

I'm with Decrepit on this. Distance blurring looks wonderful on screenshots, but annoys me a lot when I'm actually trying to play a game. I *want* to be able to look into the distance after all, at least, I want to do it without having to move the screen around in the process. The game engine (or the shaders) can't tell what I, the player, is actually looking at on the screen, so the dof it provides only sometimes matches what I'm actually trying to look at. At the point where I have to put my crosshairs over whatever I want to have in focus, it's making the game annoying.

Fogging is acceptable in terms of weather or general haze; From my (real) front door I have a wonderful view of a set of mountains just a few miles away, so I have a very good idea of how variable visibility is in different weather conditions. Having the world "end" a few hundred metres away as a matter of course is not desirable either (though again, foggy weather can make wonderfully atmospheric screenshots).

Indeed. For the record, I use high quality LOD replacers along with RAEVWD (well, nearly everything from that), some RAEVWD additions from other mods, and no fog or DoF... except for screenies, occasionally. Oh, and some ini tweaks (very few, actually).

Just thought it was worth adding another alternative to the pile. I know some people use them.

Actually those particular circles are from rocks with shading around them. RAEVWD will not fix this unless those are all from the size 2080 rocks, which I doubt they all are. Except around Anvil, and then many rocks down to about 1100 or so will be filled in.

This is what happens when landscape LOD is generated for an area with a lot of rocks that have had fake shadowing drawn around them.

For the record, no, there isn't a better mod for distant object LOD. OBGE has nothing that would cover it. The landscape LOD system is entirely separate from object LOD. It can also be argued that object LOD does improve gameplay if you're using the object in the distance as a visual reference rather than going blindly in its general direction or using the built-in GPS navigation computer.
