from minimal, tech-house, electro-house, psy-trance and techno to industrial, noise / power electronics. Occasionally some of my old death metal and grindcore tracks i have from the early 90s. I don′t care for popular music.
Having read the first page, I must admit to being pleasantly surprised that it's nicely varied and not wall-to-wall comments about the latest deth metal album from the likes of Mouldy Courgette of Doom. :hehe: As for me, random bits of everything provided it's suitably unfashionable; mostly punk and early '80s stuff, with some "electronica lite" such as Stereolab and Ladytron thrown in for good measure.
Thanks for the link Odd Hermit. Yes some of the Cathedral albums are a bit slow. I just got my favorite album by them in the mail the other day THE GARDEN OF UNEARTHLY DELIGHTS. Plenty of heavy fast favorites there especially THE TREE OF LIFE & DEATH.
Listening to some SLAYER right now from their WORLD PAINTED BLOOD album. A hard and unrelenting melodic storm of musical fury.
I noticed alot of favorites in your lists. We may have been listening to the same radio stations in the New York and New Jersey area ha ha.
Cheers :foodndrink:
NP, and nah I'm way across the continent in Oregon, I listen to internet radio(pandora). :foodndrink:
I dont listen to any while playing the game but during my 1+ hour sessions in the character creator, The Wicked Tinkers, Gallic Storm, really anything Scottish, Irish, Celtic in origin. My Grandfather was from Scotland so my siblings and I grew up with all that music and culture and love it to this day.
Mostly Rock and Roll as well as some older Country music.
Mostly what I listen is Pink Floyd (except Animals. Don't ask, I just couldn't get into it) The Flaming Lips, Primus, and Pearl Jam.
Country,. Most of them are either dead or older than dirt. A couple of exceptions exist though, like Toby Keith, Hank Williams Jr. (mostly his older stuff),
...and how could I ever forget David Allan Coe. Not just his mainstream tunes either. :whistling: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEo8poVlQrM
Amon Amarth fans must be wetting themselves over this game
I can agree with that!!
Metalhead here mostly. Favorite bands are Nevermore and Suicidal Tendencies.
However... Pink Floyd are just not human. Their music is the best I have ever listened to - at least their later work, their earlier psychedelic stuff doesn't agree with me.
Being 15 I mostly listen to anything from 1999-Present. My favorite groups/singer are Skillet, Three Days Grace, Disturbed, Flyleaf, Breaking Benjamin, Nickelback, Christina Grimmie, and rap (Hey I am from St.Louis, shoot me)
I go mostly Rock, Alternative and Indie but dabble in electronic, dance, hard rock, hip-hop, classic and hybrids.
My music preference changes with my mood and/ or activity that I am doing at the time. It most certainly has nothing to do with what games I play; how I play them, maybe, but not what I play.
I listen to a wide range, everything from Judas Priest to Katy perry to Fair to Midland.
I saw judas priest live a while back. My ears still haven't recovered. Forget 11, those amps went up to 'OUCH'. Not even the prodigy managed that kind of volume...
On topic: probably Eva Cassidy. I'm musical, so I listen objectively as opposed to subjectively and thus have little preference for style. If there's talent to it, I like it.
I listen to all kinds of metal like Metallica, Five finger death punch, Disturbed, Rob Zombie, etc
But mostly I listen to Viking, Pagan and folk metal like Amon Amarth, Tyr, Arkona, Sabaton, and Manowar to name a few. Especially TYR for Skyrim though, the Norwegian chanting really gets the blood pumping.
