Zappa is alright. I like some avant garde, mostly Beatle related though.

I usually listen to grindcore, hardcoe, heavy metal, and everything in between.

I was just bumping Bow Down by Born of Osiris, reminds
me of summer in high school. <3

Anything that's good: Rap to Folk to Indie even all the way to Patti Smith and Punk Rock (70's).

I tend to listen to Miles Davis type stuff, or stuff like Dir En Grey, or progressive rock, or girl synth pop, or Bachata/Urban Bachata like Aventura or Toby Love. So I am kinda all over. The most recent song I listened to was Tigerlilly by La Roux.

While playing.... nothing, just the game music and sounds. More immersive.

As for in general.... anything that fits my mood.
Grateful Dead, Bob Marley, Siouxie and the Banshees, U2, Beatles, Peter Murphy.... Movie soundtracks like LOTR, or ambient music.... the list goes on and on...

Martin Simpson, i've had "when a knight won his spurs" on repeat alot (it really fits my characters story) and John Martyn. Well that's what I'm listening to at the moment at least, with a bit of Operation ivy and some Crass thrown in to balance out the punk to folk ratio.

Jeremy Soule is your answer, obviously.

But seriously, my tastes range from the most extreme types of metal all the way to classical.

I don't even like music anymore. I was a huge rap fan but it's been so bad for years now. I honestly don't listen to music except for when I'm at the gym (I hate you Skyrim)

Rammstein - Ohne Dich

Saw them in Munich (I'm from UK) and it was the best gig I've ever been to. I don't even speak German.

This game calls for orchestral Wagner more than most.

And JS Bach organ music.
