What's in a name?

"Molag Bal"... When translated from the aldmeri-derived language that those words come from, it means "Fire stone". Why is Molag Bal's name as such? Was he a tire industry mogul in the previous kalpa?

He was interrelated by his arch nemesis, Boea Bal. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/a8/Bridgestone_Potenza_F1_Rear_Tire.JPG/800px-Bridgestone_Potenza_F1_Rear_Tire.JPG

May have something to do with how he was "born." Bal Ur is supposedly the birthplace of Bal and it's in the Molag Amur or Ashlands region, which has had streams of lava flow through its foyadas before. That being said, "fire stone" could be considered lava.

But honestly, I'm just throwing things out there. Currently busy.

He took the name of a slang term for an STD in Tamriel when the Imperial Census officers came around as a joke. Fire stones are real trouble. The pesky Imperials just wouldn't go away without an answer though.
