What we need in Crysis 3 (console)

Post » Fri May 25, 2012 10:09 pm

Hi guys, i am a new crysis member/player. Just recently re-bought Crysis 2 and i want to share my thoughts. (MP only)

The MP of Crysis 2 is what i would call, almost perfect. Its intense, challenging and in general awesome. But some of the things we need is --->DEDICATED SERVERS FOR CONSOLES<---

The PC version already has this, and its not that the P2P servers in Crysis 2 is horrible (its much better than COD host migration system) but this will ofc reduce lag and such, and would be a great edition to Crysis 3.

INCREASE OF THE FRAME RATE ON CONSOLES

I dont know if this is possible, but the frame rate was not that good on PS3 at all, its okay on 360, but if it is possible, then we need to see some improvement on the frame-rate.

That was my thoughts on what we need in Crysis 3 so far, what do you guys think?

Dat feel when I'm getting a gaming PC and won't have to worry about how toned-down the console version will be...

Still, to be helpful: the most basic thing consoles need is a solid frame rate, and this was something Crysis 2 failed at spectacularly. In heavy firefights, or when multiple Orbital Strikes are active, you can literally count the frames as they pass. Getting the FPS past 30 is a nicety, getting it fixed at 30 minimum is what's needed.

Second up is a more general advancement: maps and gametypes. If Crysis 3 wants to compete with the likes of Halo 4 and Black Ops II, it needs a solid multiplayer. This means having lots of gametypes and more than two maps that don't feel like pieces of half-arsed community content. Customization would also be appreciated as a depth-enhancer.

Finally: BTB maps. Where are they? I don't buy the hardware argument; Reach has 16-player Big Team and Battlefield 3 manages 24. If graphics need to be toned down a bit to manage the players (16 as a minimum) and big, vehicle-heavy maps, then do so. For crying out loud, it's a console, the entire selling point over PCs is that you're sacrificing graphics for a low price tag.
