What if Nerevarine didn't stop Dagoth Ur

Post » Mon Sep 03, 2012 5:25 pm

Hey, let's speculate what Tamriel would look like during the events of Skyrim if Nerevarine failed at stoping Dagoth and destroying the heart. Would Dagoth be able to reconstruct Numidium? Would he be able to conquer the whole Tamriel or was there some other power who could oppose him? Would that mean that Morrowind would still be intact. Tamriel would be still united but under Dagoth's rule and there would be no Thalmor threat?

Did Dagoth have a plan enslave or exterminate other races? Would corpus become a pandemic?

If Dagoth conquered Imperial City and killed the emperor, Dagon would still be able to invade Tamriel and with no one to help Martin relight the fires, would Dagon be more powerful than Dagoth?

Also, Thalmor would probably never rise to power.

I admit I have only slightly above average knowledge of TES lore, so maybe I'm not taking some important factors into consideration.

Anyway, I'd just like to hear your thoughts on the matter. What would Tamriel be like if Dagoth won?

Perhaps Bethesda's Fallout is the post-apocalyptic future. And all that radiation?
That's corprus.

edit,

to add, I'd equate the future to a Borglike ... Zergish ... oncopoeic nightmare. All other races or lifeforms would be enfolded into the bulkmasstumor, with Ash Vampires ruling over varying degrees of faceless Slendermer.

I picture lots of ash and dust.

I must say though, if not the Nerevarine, the unknowns to Dagoth's plan were the Daedra and the Emperor. If we're saying the Nerevarine failed, Azura's subtle machinations didn't work. Then again, she subtle. Something like the Mythic Dawn would probably put up some fight [assuming Akhulakhan didn't reactivate. Uh oh.]

And now I imagine a slightly-early Keyes plot happening, with the soot-stained Walk-Brass stumbling toward White-Gold.

Remember what it was like inside the Ghostgate? I imagine it would be like that, but with snow.

What if the Mythic Dawn was led not by Mankar Camoran, but a pair of miscreant mudcrabs?

Everyone would be dreaming the same dream (within a dream), I have no idea how that would effect reality, though the effects would certainly be great.
