What new creature would you want?

Post » Sun Jun 13, 2010 12:24 am

I'm no expert in lore, but just because a creature doesn't exist in the elder scrolls world doesn't mean it can't be added in, does it?

I mean, just because it's never been seen or mentioned before doesn't mean that it CAN'T exist, right?

lore has to start somewhere. it may be the first time a creature is found to be. someone finally escaped from it alive to tell a story regarding it. who knows. what lives in the depth of the shadows? what mine was dug to deep? what arcane spell was created without the proper protection in place? What new game do the gods intend to play?

I honestly don't know, im loving the undead we've seen a lot can't wait to summon them with conjuration, the mammoths are just sick, the giant looks really well done. They've done Dragons perfectly for the game so far from what we've seen, I cannot emphasize how f***ing good they've done with dragons in the game.

Werewolves would be really nice, im sure if they aren't in the game on release there will be a nice solthiem like DLC for them considering its Skyrim.

I would like to see something along the lines of an einherjar, an ancient norse myth of great warriors that when they die are resurected into Valhalla and fight battles every day there, just dieing and repeating, kinda like daedra. I think that would kinda act like the new or slightly different version of daedra.

this reminds me of that one shivering isles quest where you save ghosts from living their worst moment in life over and over again

I agree with the "so massive it's downright scary" sea monsters. At least one, way out in the ocean somewhere. A giant, snake-like serpent, maybe five.. no six times as long as a dragon, with spines and fins and razor teeth.

Won't happen, but I can dream.

here is a nice picture

some reading
http://www.wyrdology.com/cryptozoology/wendigo.html

pretty much its an undead that hunts and eats human flesh. Its a great stealth, and cold climate type creature. could also have cold type magic effects and or paralyze effect and some other stuff depending on different legends.

This would scare the [censored] out of me if I saw this in a cave with some ominous music playing!

Pitching in my vote for sea creatures as well. Make us fear going out to sea or swimming to the bottom of a very deep lake. And have passive creatures too. If I only see slaughterfish I'm going to be sick

:foodndrink: I'll drink to that!

Something like a loch ness monster in one of the lakes. I want something that will scare 7 shades of brown out of me in what would be a normal trip to a lake

some tribal khajit would be nice to see, kinda like these but with more fur due to the cold climate.

Slaughterfish should be added to the oceans. Oblivion's ocean was basically lifeless its about time slaughterfish were added or maybe create some new sea creatures.

In the Morrowind expansion Bloodmoon there is a quest that deals with a place called Sovngaarde, which is exactly such a location. Thus, it is already in the TES lore, but on a spiritual sense...and not likely to be (directly) seen in Skyrim.

Anyway, I would like to see some sea monsters....massive beasts.
