What new creature would you want?

So far the creatures for Skyrim seem great, giant spiders, giants, draugrs, DRAGONS, yetis, wooly mammoths, sabertooth tigers, wolf packs, etc. What I would still like to see is some more sea creatures, whales, walrus, some lochness monster thing.

Were-Mammoths.

Some kind of Ice gator that drags unsuspecting victims down into the cold depths of a frozen lake.

Deadly, huge, rare sea monsters. Lurking in the deepest depths of Skyrim's seas.

How about hydra, manticore, chimera, griffons

Definitely some kind of sea monster/s, like http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/seamonsters/factfiles/images/liopleurodon_closeup.jpg, or a giant relative of a Mudcrab...some gaint lobster/crab, which acts as an oceanic game barrier rather than the usual force field. Whales, dolphins, sharks.

Also, my personal preference. Gargoyles. They can pose as statues on building walls/turrets/battlements and fly down to attack you.

Lots of them. I can't possibly say which ones I want to see, since what I want to see are things I've never seen before - the equivalent of guar and netch and nixhounds. NOT more friggin wolves and bears and mountain lions or minotaurs and ogres and unicorns. If Beth's devs don't have enough imagination to come up with new creatures and instead have to stock the world, yet again, with real-world animals and tired old fantasy stereotypes, someone should fire the lot of them and replace them with people who do have that much imagination.

I agree with the "so massive it's downright scary" sea monsters. At least one, way out in the ocean somewhere. A giant, snake-like serpent, maybe five.. no six times as long as a dragon, with spines and fins and razor teeth.

Won't happen, but I can dream.

I remember how scared I was of the eel in super mario 64 the first 6 times I saw it. Mainly cause as a rule of terror, in order to actually be afraid you have to be powerless, and you can't do crap underwater.

Were-Yeti. :P

In seriousness though, I'm throwing my lot in with sea-creatures as well. The oceans need some lovin'. Plus, standing on a rocky beach battling a kraken's tentacles would be epic.

hell yeah that would be bad ass!!!

I'd like to see abstract 'creatures' that aren't congruent to any 'reality' established mythologies, lore, etc. That's what really appeals to me, opposed to mythological and culture-based creatures like vampires, werewolves, sea serpents, etc. I'd also like 'creatures' not based on standards of fantasy like Lord of the Rings.

I'd really like to see some grahl in Skyrim, and some more original monsters. Monsters that are totally made up, like the creatures in Morrowind were.

Here is my extensive list with a short description of its combat capabilities and aggression. (excuse me if I get carried away!)

1.Behemoth
[unknown combat and/or aggression] A very large animal. http://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=http://studymore.org.uk/Behemoth.gif&imgrefurl=http://studymore.org.uk/lecshe.htm&usg=__vjB_b3aF--dgG5CULiXeWn3EUeg=&h=464&w=495&sz=186&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=KdR_EvpdbuHDeM:&tbnh=139&tbnw=148&ei=3yihTZiGLczciAKe05WHAw&prev=/images%3Fq%3DWilliam%2BBlake%2BThe%2Bbehemoth%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DX%26biw%3D1584%26bih%3D741%26tbm%3Disch&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=1013&vpy=69&dur=3211&hovh=217&hovw=232&tx=72&ty=121&oei=3yihTZiGLczciAKe05WHAw&page=1&ndsp=44&ved=1t:429,r:7,s:0

2. Djinns (Genies)
They cannot psychically harm humans, they can possess them and cause violent or dangerous acts. However only a handful of mean-spirited Djinns.

3.The Roc (or a large birdlike animal)
An Immensely Giant bird that preys on elephants (mammoth anyone?) and is known to prey on ships.

4.A Chimera-type thing
With that volcanic area, this beasty would feel right at home! Very dangerous with flaming breath, ferocious fangs, and resistance to normal weapons.

5.Minotaur
http://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2010/357/e/d/oblivion_minotaur_by_aixapredator93-d35hf7r.jpg&imgrefurl=http://aixapredator93.deviantart.com/art/Oblivion-Minotaur-190609479&usg=__3hmbvSmMlvuthaBR1pcT76dLKXg=&h=576&w=900&sz=111&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=V0NV_Q3rJ2spPM:&tbnh=143&tbnw=194&ei=7SqhTerbM8nfiAKI9aDzAg&prev=/images%3Fq%3DOblivion%2BMinotaur%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26biw%3D1584%26bih%3D741%26tbm%3Disch&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=568&vpy=257&dur=328&hovh=143&hovw=223&tx=147&ty=114&oei=7SqhTerbM8nfiAKI9aDzAg&page=1&ndsp=28&ved=1t:429,r:9,s:0

6.Northern Wildman,
Low intelligence, unknown intentions, and Scandinavian relation make this a must have!

7.Cockatrice
A dark, dank, abandoned chapel undercroft, and you are jumped by the fearsome Cockatrice, with its poisonous breath and dangerous gaze, this badboy would give the most seasoned adventurer a heavy jolt. http://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=http://images.wikia.com/forgottenrealms/images/a/ae/Cockatrice_-_Sam_Wood.jpg&imgrefurl=http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Cockatrice&usg=__yJKIMNDlOaBWQuiiClRoSezABmk=&h=273&w=400&sz=45&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=iW5bEfpy9sTfyM:&tbnh=132&tbnw=193&ei=hiyhTeXGAoPciAKV1aWIAw&prev=/images%3Fq%3DCockatrice%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26biw%3D1584%26bih%3D741%26tbm%3Disch&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=807&vpy=87&dur=667&hovh=185&hovw=272&tx=175&ty=86&oei=hiyhTeXGAoPciAKV1aWIAw&page=1&ndsp=35&ved=1t:429,r:5,s:0

8.Black Dogs
These Spectral hounds are straight from goosebumpsville, haunting crossroads, dark rivers, and only emerging at night, a flickering hull, visible one second, invisible the other...

9.Loch Ness Monster and/or Issie
Nessie and her/his Japanese Variant Issie, are you generic cool lake monster! Who can do without???

10.Phantom Cats
Large Cats that stalk their prey around moors and and deep wilderness.

11.KRAKEN!!!
Oh my God!!! This is just a must-have! Completely and utterly awesome! http://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=http://www.bergoiata.org/fe/Monstres-marins-peinture/sea_monsters_csg003_the_kraken_wakes.jpg&imgrefurl=http://69.93.255.82/~platoon/demo/gfx/dentals/d1/the-kraken-sea-monster&usg=__ByVJcaZEIv_MClmVzaF8qasQ3ys=&h=768&w=1024&sz=98&hl=en&start=102&zoom=1&tbnid=a5GpSwgH4isp9M:&tbnh=130&tbnw=184&ei=Ti6hTbffFeHliALghYX2Ag&prev=/images%3Fq%3DThe%2BKraken%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26biw%3D1584%26bih%3D741%26tbm%3Disch0%2C1907&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=758&vpy=527&dur=1554&hovh=139&hovw=186&tx=111&ty=111&oei=Li6hTaHxJIXOiALg2ojyAg&page=4&ndsp=37&ved=1t:429,r:32,s:102&biw=1584&bih=741http://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=http://www.badassoftheweek.com/kraken5.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.badassoftheweek.com/kraken.html&usg=__WiroZRoh6E-lqQ7ZovEQXbnsJ-Y=&h=240&w=360&sz=17&hl=en&start=102&zoom=1&tbnid=txXPOh7pxCCj5M:&tbnh=130&tbnw=173&ei=Ti6hTbffFeHliALghYX2Ag&prev=/search%3Fq%3DThe%2BKraken%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26biw%3D1584%26bih%3D741%26tbm%3Disch0%2C1907&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=524&vpy=467&dur=978&hovh=183&hovw=275&tx=161&ty=152&oei=Li6hTaHxJIXOiALg2ojyAg&page=4&ndsp=37&ved=1t:429,r:31,s:102&biw=1584&bih=741

Very simple!

Just open the old good Dungeons and dragons http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lists_of_Dungeons_%26_Dragons_monsters and put them all!

I wanna see a sload..... :frog:

The Sload won't ever get to Skyrim. Summerset Isle would be closest, maybe some would appear in south west Valenwood.

Anyway, I would like Wolverines.

Wolverines can take on a bear three times their size and more often than not will win. Ultimate proof that speed, reflexes and determination (and a supernatural pain tolerance) will beat brute strength and weight any day of the week.

The Wolverine would be the most dangerous thing that you could come across in a real world Skyrim-like climate. Climates like this have no dangerous spiders or bugs (except ticks lol those are murderous) and no dangerous sea creatures either. So on the list of must-have natural creatures, Wolverine. Also Lynx (but they should be rare).

On the magical creatures list, Trolls, Liches and Giants make the most sense. WerewolvesNO I MEAN WEREWOLVERINES!!!!

I'd like a few biiig monster boss fights. Not dragons though! For example, think about adventuring a dungeon and suddenly it's so quiet it's eery and then...Suddenly a huge troll/giant/monsterthingwhatever lurks from within the shadows, and it's so big it hardly fits inside. Or or! What if the only thing you could do was run away? Actually...that just made me think how cool it would be if a few rare dungeons would hold a huge deadly creature inside that WOULD be killable, but so hard that you would likely just have to either lurk past it or just avoid it? ^^

As others have said, huge sea monsters would be cool. Not quest-related or anything, just there almost as an Easter Egg.
