What new creature would you want?

Post » Sat Jun 12, 2010 11:30 pm

I would like to see something along the lines of an einherjar, an ancient norse myth of great warriors that when they die are resurected into Valhalla and fight battles every day there, just dieing and repeating, kinda like daedra. I think that would kinda act like the new or slightly different version of daedra.

Dragons were what I had hoped for, and seems what I got :)

I'd love to however, see Centaurs, and more lore creatures XD

Give me Ancient Liches and Daedra Lords (probably rename them) who are just as deadly as they were in Daggerfall. Oblivion Dremora weren't strong enough — sure, they looked menacing, screamed with a nice voice and tried to attack ferociously, but they, most of the time, were just a pests for well-developed character of any level.

I do remember my first meeting with Daedra Lord. FLASH - and there is my coffin.

Also, I fondly do remember how I tried to attack an Ancient Lich in King of Worms hideout.

Slash - oh, doesn't working. Be right back.
(First playthrough, didn't had Ebony Dagger then.)
Elven material! No? Okay... Wait here.
I got dwarven now! Die, scum... no? Damn. Just wait a little bit.
Hey, mithril! Take that oh shi~ shi~ shi~ wt~ mama~ goddam~ okay, coffin.

Oh, and another thing. Remember that voice sample of Ancient Vampire scream from Daggerfall? This is the most terrifying sound in the history of gaming. (Well, maybe with exception of "nuclear launch detected" and variations of it.) That sample sounds in my head right now, and it's chilling. Use it, rewrite it in better quality probably, but use *it*.

Were-Yeti. :P

In seriousness though, I'm throwing my lot in with sea-creatures as well. The oceans need some lovin'. Plus, standing on a rocky beach battling a kraken's tentacles would be epic.

bring in the Falmer even if they wont be playable race ever, we should at least see them, even in a pale pass sort of place which is there but not well known about

perhaps add in sub species of wolf or just a single boss-like wolf Fenrir / Fenris Wolf
or at east put Nidhogg in there as one of the dragons

Pitching in my vote for sea creatures as well. Make us fear going out to sea or swimming to the bottom of a very deep lake. And have passive creatures too. If I only see slaughterfish I'm going to be sick

Another vote for sea creatures, even the Dreughs from Morrowind were pretty fearsome.

I'm also hoping for some scarier/more disturbing undead. The Draugrs look cool, but they aren't very frightening. Give me some gross abominations and put some effort into the horror aspects of Skyrim and I'll be happy.

Fenris is over done in many games.

Rather not see another copy please.
I hope to see an imbunche.

Also know what is a truly scary noise? The ghasts from minecraft! :o

I would like to see some passive animals. Maybe a woolly mammal for the land or whales for the sea . Ancient Lich would be pretty nice too, but only one, hidden away in a deep dungeon.

Mudcrabs, or snowcrabs I suppose. No but in all seriousness I want to see more bosses. Oblivion only had Dagon and we did not even get to kill him.

I'd quite like to see gargoyles, that can fly and form perfectly still statues on wall of castle/fortresses/buildings.

Like these...

What's a Wendigo? They sound mysterious.

I'd also like to see more sea creatures. Something misleading. Like, a huge fish that looks like it's gonna eat ya, but it's actually running from a bigger predator fish.

some reading
http://www.wyrdology.com/cryptozoology/wendigo.html

pretty much its an undead that hunts and eats human flesh. Its a great stealth, and cold climate type creature. could also have cold type magic effects and or paralyze effect and some other stuff depending on different legends.

I'm no expert in lore, but just because a creature doesn't exist in the elder scrolls world doesn't mean it can't be added in, does it?

I mean, just because it's never been seen or mentioned before doesn't mean that it CAN'T exist, right?

Pretty much.

More sea life should definitely be in. I'd think some merfolk would be great.
