What New Magic Spells would you like to see

@Illumanati, not only shapeshifting into animals, but also into other people, murdering someone and melting into the crowd with a new identity

This isn't Prototype.

Being able to summon multiple summons and such. Better conjuration system.

I want people to actually be afraid of undead summons! If I see a skeleton coming towards me... regardless of whether it's carrying a sword... I'm running away like a school girl!

Shapeshifting would definitely add some flavor to the alteration school.

But, I am of the opinion that I'd rather see better working spells of what they already have, or should have, in the game...i.e. levitation, etc. If they can't perfect what already should be in there then there is no guarantee that any new bells and whistles would be any better off (and then ignored when the next tes comes out).

Sleep spell! None of that paralyze or damage fatigue garbage! Sleep could render an enemy 100% unconscious for a minute of two. This would be especially cool for poisons.

This.

And how about a confusion spell? A little bit like frenzy, but it doesnt make them go on a rampage unless provoked. Once anything even touches them, for example, they could become angry and kill anybody in sight. That would be entertaining to use on a beggar.

Not really new, but when you have a Drain life spell it should get into some sort of channelling mode when you hold the button. Which would continuously drain your mana and your enemies' health.
When you tap the button it should just do the normal Drain Life spell we know from Oblivion.

i would love shapeshifting but would prefer a more stricter form of it ie only one form can be learned and used at a time. this would be done through imprinting on a creature, monster, or person. i think it would be clasified as alteration because you are altering your physical being to become something different. after learning the imprint spell you will have to imprint on something before you can tern into it. the time it takes to imprint will be determined by your alteration skill the higher the skill the faster imprinting becomes at low levels it could take up to 10 seconds, at mastered it could take 1-2 seconds.
of course there would be a few rules to imprinting.
1. the target being imprinted MUST be alive.
2. you must be within 10 feet of target and looking at throughout the entire imprinting process.
3. you can only take minimal damage while imprinting or the process is interrupted.
4. after imprinting the target does not need to be alive to turn into it so you may kill it.

after imprinting you can turn into the the target indefinably for as long as you want, BUT if health reaches below 25% you will turn back, if you are a person other people that knew that person may detect you are not them. this could be done through conversations. like you are infiltrating a bandit camp and you imprint bandit chuck and then kill him and you run into his brother bandit bob. he will talk to you and start a conversation. if you answer wrong to several things he may become suspicious and ask a personal history question that may be a trick like "remember that time mom made us that pie and you stole it from the window seal and ate it all?" you would then be given several answers to give him like yes, it was you that ate it all, our mom died when i was 2 what are you talking about?. if you pick right he'll shrug it off and walk on, if you answer wrong he'll know something is up and will likely raise the alarm.

i would also like to see telekinesis like in bioshock or dark messiah where i can bring objects to me and fling them to cause damage

short range teleportation.

mind control where you can take control of those with weaker minds than you (can only be done to humanoids)

astroprojection where your spirit leaves your body for a short amount of time. this could be done to the same effect of going into console and typing TFC. but it will be a spell in (my guess would be) alteration that allows you to travel without your body for a time based on your skill in alteration. low lvls would be like 15 seconds while master could be 60-90 seconds. you can stay out of your body longer than the time limit but you start to die. you cant pass through solid walls but you can pass through doord, bars, gates and windows. you cannot attack or activate anything. the only activation you can preform is "awaken" which will instantly send you back to your body. while in this form you are absolutely vulnerable!!!! if you are atacked you will see your health start to drop and will have to awaken to defend your self.

i would also like to see perm bound summons. it should take master lvl conjuration and alot of magicka and time to preform. but in the end you will gain a companion summon that is slightly stronger and hardier than the normal summon of its self.

as seen in trailers you can combine a spell. I want to be able to combine 2 different spells and have an combined affect. For example, fire in your left hand and a poison spell in the other, then when u fire the spell it deals fire damage that lingers the duration of the poison spell

I would like the ability to conjure a 13 yr old CoD fan-boy who shouts vulgar obscenities at my enemies thus drawing their attention, but because children are flagged as "essential" NPCs my opponent will commit suicide after realizing it can not win. The annoying brat will then accuse me of kill stealing and hacking before he rage quits (despawning).

I think all the conjuration spells should be permanent (but obviously more difficult), but that we should be able to dismiss them whenever you need to (because obviously if you walk into town with a summoned monster you will get attacked by the guards).

More than anything I hope that the spell effects are improved. When I shoot an ice spell, it shouldn't just be a ball of blue cold. I think spikes of ice should fly towards my opponent. Someone mentioned a lighting bolt spell earlier and I really like that, where a bolt of lightning hits your opponent from the sky. I think they should create an entire system of necromancer spells since that would inevitably be something people would study and explore in a world with magic.

I think they should bring back divine intervention, mark/recall, etc. (perhaps instead of the godlike Oblivion fast travel). I would like them to revamp the telekinesis system. There is just so much they could improve/add...

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere in an article about the magic system that some effects will have secondary things going on. The ice will slow the opponent.

i'd love a teleportation spell, there was a mod for one, maybe in midas magic, where you can teleport along your line of sight, so you look at a tree you teleport to tree you look at the top of the mountain you teleport there, and it was a costly spell so you couldn't use it to teleport from one side of the map to the other and maybe in skyrim it could be used for combinations like drop a bomb at your feet and teleport away before it explodes to deal with a group of enemies or just teleport away to get a little breathing room.

I would love to see an avalanche spell. they have all of that great snow they've trumped it. Use it some more! Generally I would like to see higher level spells have greater environmental impact. Call down lighting from the sky instead of your fingertips. Ect.
