What new races do you want?

Sloads hate adventure. It wouldn't be logical.

So do Hobbits, what is your point?
That said, playing as a sload is a terrible idea,

I'd actually like to see the Tsacai (sp?) akavir. The serpent men who've actually come to tamriel before.

There is if it's outside of the lore. Dremora are Daedra, not a race per se. They could never be heros which is typically the focus of the main quest so this just wouldn't work.

It's not unheard of to have new races in the Elder Scrolls series though, Orcs were not originally playable for example.

oh yeah good point... D:

svck it up. The only way you're going to have more then 10 races is mods. I can't really think of adding any other races, because it would have to require a change in the lore.

Playing as a sload would be loads (just noticed the anagram lol) of fun, You could be a fat slug on a hover disk dragon shouting at everything that moves.

Yes. So do hobbits. And it's very rare to see a hobbit outside the Shire, isn't it?

Sloads are creatures that doesn't want to leave their lands. Actually, the more similar word to adventure they have means something like "terrible journey" or something like that. They would need a VERY strong reason to leave their lands... and everybody would look strange at them... they are giant... "things".

Not to burst your bubble, but I believe it is the same 10 races as before.

Which is a good thing!

confirmed i heard it from todd howards mouth on his interview, same ten races

EDIT: but if they had to add a new race i would suggest adding an excommunicated dremora,

I think the classic 10 Races is perfect. And more than enough for gameplay variations.
Always has been in the past. (Well, Morrowind.. not so much OB)

Besides, new Race mods are always made by modders. :)

I like how people put Orcs into their own category, when they technically are Elves.

I also like how people always seem to want more races, even though the Elder Scrolls games probably some of the games that offer the most. Besides, lore-wise it wouldn't make a lot of sense to include pretty much any race out there. Also, Bethesda confirmed 10 playable races; the same 10 from Oblivion.

However, I would like more in-depth races, of course. A couple of the different Khajiit species would be nice, seeing as they are pretty diverse in terms of abilities.

i think its funny no one ever mentions the http://uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Imga. Realistically, they are the most likely race to be added, if they were to ever add a race. They're civilization isn't in decline. If fact, they're probably growing. (you know how monkeys are). They already exist in the lore, unlike some of the things people are coming up with. so there wouldn't be a mystery as to were they came from or why they are in the game. Unlike many other suggestions, they arn't extinct (falmer, dwemer), and they haven't tried to invade Tamriel or start any kind of war (akaviri races, sloads). Plus, it would add a new beast race to the game.

Ass I said, Game set in Valenwood FTW! And make the Bosmer badass again.

I've always wanted to see the Sload, even just as NPCs, they probably wouldn't work well as player characters. Doors too narrow.

Actually there are 11 races, the 11th race is Ayleid when I set my High Elf to a tan color. Or even 12 if someone makes a chimer from one of the other races.

Instead of adding new races, they should remove some. I mean no one likes the Imperials.... :)

Maybe they will make Vampires a new "race". Is there such a thing as a "furry" or "scaly" vampire"?

Would a Khajiit werewolf chase itself around?

There are many more than these in the lore.Races from other continents are existant. They are able to travel I presume? XD
And old races like Ayleid are going to be counted as well,I'm sure it gets close to 20,maybe even surpassing it.

As for integration in the game,I don't think that's that much necessary.Give me back my beast legs first...

That's only 4 races. Orc = Orsimer, which are Mer just like the Altmer, Dunmer, Bosmer, long-lost Dwemer, etc...

Although I do agree with splitting the beasts out as "Furries" and "Scalies."

Weren't Orcs Orsimer before the corruption? Now they are no longer elves but a creation of Malacath or Boethiah.

I wouldn't mind if they added 1 or 2 more races, but i'm happy with the ten we have,it's still alot.
I like a few others wouldn't mind having falmer. If i remember right i think they are "snow elves" may have to check on that, been a while.
But anyway like i said ten is enough, but what i would like the most is ,being able to have mixed races.
Half and half if you will.....especially with man and mer, not sure if a cross between man and beast will go down well....that might be one for the back burner.
But i would really like that half and half option, more than a new race.
