So what's next for the console players then?

Post » Tue Jul 05, 2011 10:01 am

I'm just wondering because PC gamers got DX11, a map editor and a graphics update so do we console player get nothing else now? Because many people feel that the game is still imperfect. If Crytek would go so far as to release a graphics update for the PC then it shows that the console version too is imperfect and needs fixing. Many people have noticed the pixilated shadows.

But that's not the point. Are Crytek done with us now?

Well, according to a post by Tom. He has no new information yet, so it's a bit hit and miss.

Maybe now, but not on release day. All versions were $60. I think Crytek will surprise us console players in the not too distant future with something.

Do not worry we all failed with the same thinking for months. Distant is always months. By that time, we all are going to move on. Crytek needs to something for its current audience.

Would be nice, but I would not expect it as they have themselves said there is nothing to announce as of right now.

It's being rumored that Crysis 1 is coming to consoles as it was rated by Korean Ratings Board last week and has also just been rated by ESRB.
I find it funny though because after all crytek did say the crysis 1 wasn't possible on consoles...maybe consoles are a little bit more capable then crytek gave them credit for either that are the games going to be running the equivalent of low settings at 320x240 res.

I think all the people who say Crysis is not capable of being on consoles is something that Crytek would like to disprove. I think they would see it as a challenge. Obviously it will not be Crysis using Cryengine 2. It will be Crysis using Cryengine 3, which is optimized to work on consoles. I think it's totally possible. I know I'll be getting it if the rumor is true.
