What I noticed / learned from Todd's presentation at E3

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 6:12 pm

I wonder if jumping on the dragon for that finishing move could be considered a tongue-in-cheek sort of "dragon riding?"

The animations look awesome. Did you see how much weight and... "real-ness" there was to the giants walking down that hill? Also, no one's mentioned the dragon snatching up one of the tower guards in its mouth, fling him around, and toss the poor man away. Poor guy was screaming a good long while during that. Or the wolves that ran past the character?

It's all just so, so tears-in-the-eyes awe-inspiring.

I want to see it again!

i wonder why they don't just spill the beans on whether there's still unarmed in the game or not. we all knew that there was gonna be blades and blunt weapons in there, but this is actually questionable. they gotta know there's a lot of people wondering. it's like they don't care. shame.

I noticed a few things Namely....awesome, awesome, awesome, HOLY CRAP AWESOME, sweetness, awesome, Kick arseness, OMFG AWESOME, I cant freaking WAIT for it to come out, and......

Dragons are gonna score me tons of free guard armor...hehehe

But love the graphics, spells, weapons/armor, combat etc.....I want a demo though now.....No game timer demo free roam to a certain point.....which I will play over and over and over till 11/11/11

I wanna see all the races/character creation (also they need to make sure the lighting isnt funky this time around for creation) Im sure those who have played oblivion and both bethesda fallouts will agree on this point.

AND LASTLY......my final opinion of the game AWESOME

QUESTIONs as to what kind of wasted i will be when I get it...the answer....

SKYRIM WASTED MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAAHAAHAHHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bethesda rocks, getting this, saints row 3, and halo combat evolved anniversary. peace out im go change my drool from awesomeness bucket now

I was disappointed we didn't see the new dialogue system or any town gameplay.

Notice the fox that chases a rabbit, during the 1st minute or so, on the mountain path. Around 2:19:30 on the rewind.

Its confirmed now when Dragons die their skeletons remain.
After the first Dragon was killed its skeleton is on the ground when the 2nd Dragon attacks.

Hooray for Dragon Skeletons!!!

A trap when he fights the Draugrs. When he fires his flamethrower you can see far into a corridor, it is a trap in there some kind of blade going left right left right.

I noticed that when you "snipe" someone with a bow, the person right next to that person just stands there.

I have to debate that, as if you pay attention, the just was just starting to move and after he died the UI flashed to say hidden.

So Todd just sniped too quickly.

I loved the whole thing, but wasn't too keen on how it throws you out into third person every-time you perform an action like the finishing move, or the soul svcking the dragon-shout stuff... But saying that I may play in third person more often, it looks much better at least it isn't the off-centre over the shoulder view that most games have, it reminds me a bit of Dragon Age's camera.

Wow. That is all I have to say. I'll just mention 2 negatives:

-I hope the "you have leveled in this" progress bar only showed up so frequently because of Demo purposes.
-I don't actually have another negative, but I'll reserve it for later cause I'm only 10 minutes in.

I'm gonna love this game, I just know it.

the dragon perched on the ruin from the gameinformer article and the elderscrolls website is perched in the video as well
isnt that kind of strange? is it always there?

i guess they probably programmed it to be there for demo purposes?
