It would be fantastic just imagine the forest in oblivion with higher detail and those creatures, awesome.

If they avoided selling out like they did with Skyrim, and kept gameplay etc. but just improved graphics and aesthetics, it would be wonderful.

What ??. When oblivion was launched it was one of the most thechnologically advanced games of the time. It looked absolutely amazing and shivering isles was even better. The graphics havent aged too bad either, at least not like to want a update already. I guess you played skyrim first?. And leaving graphics aside, i dont think it would have been a good idea either. Oblivion without atributes, no spellmaking, no greaves, shorter quests, kids, broken radiant quests? No, thanks (though less level scaling and no oblivion gates sounds good actually). Now, skyrim with oblivion atributes, spellmaking, longer quests, 17 more summons, that sounds very good.

Quite agree. I love Skyrim don't get me wrong but I have a great fondness for Oblivion. A great fondness indeed :spotted owl:

Yes, I probably would have been happier if the two were swapped around. Despite Oblivion being very "generic fantasy", it still holds a special place in my heart. I'm not going to say that Oblivion is better than Skyrim, because if I was to make a list of my pros and cons of both, Skyrim would come out on top, but the nostalgia factor of Oblivion is influencing my decision. Although that kind of contradicts the first sentence of this post.

There are topics discussing the various game differences already open in the http://www.gamesas.com/forum/26-the-elder-scrolls-series-discussion/. Please use one of those.
